binder USA has developed a complete portfolio of connectors, contacts, tools, and accessories for crimp termination. binder’s crimp variants simplify wiring for quick cable assembly on site. The 423 series M16 connector offers reliable connectivity for signals, data, and electrical power with low contact resistance and gas tightness. These connectors have the tensile strength and non-detachable (IP67-level) connection needed for challenging applications such as the installation of gas meters, railroad technology, sensors and actuators, Test & Measurement, and industrial controls.
Heilind Electronics is stocking and shipping Molex’s OneBlade 1.00 mm Wire-to-Board Connector System. OneBlade connector’s single housing can be used interchangeably as a vertical or right-angle header consisting of only three components, which mitigates the risk of material shortages. This also means less production tooling is required; the innovative design allows Molex to invest in additional capacity when needed to support customers’ demands in a timely manner. The connectors also feature a housing designed for vacuum pick and place, removing the need for cover tape, and increasing production efficiency. OneBlade Wire-to-Board Connector System’s dual-contact design offers secure electrical contact and reliability for disruption-free operations. These products are ideal in consumer, home appliance, and data center applications.
The new DuraEV from Amphenol Communications Solutions is a standard connector solution offered with 2 power and 4/6 signal pins which employs a patented contact system capable of carrying a continuous current of 70A with 10,000 mating cycles. IP67 rated in both mated and unmated conditions, DuraEV has finger protection with a first mate last break (FMLB) feature for power terminals and connector position assurance (CPA) to ensure secure locking. DuraEV comes with an IP cap for the socket side and an optional IP cap for the plug side to prevent the ingress of foreign materials.
Amphenol RF expanded its multiport AUTOMATE Type A Mini-FAKRA portfolio with additional PCB options. The high-bandwidth product line now includes single- and dual-port right-angle connectors, along with straight and right-angle configurations for the existing quad-port version. These variations will increase the design capabilities of the connector series and allow it to be utilized in a wider array of automotive and industrial applications where higher data transmission rates are required, such as compute modules, wire harnesses, sensors, and cameras. The AUTOMATE Type A Mini-FAKRA connectors offer excellent RF performance up to 9 GHz and feature a robust, color-coded housing to prevent mismating. They are manufactured from zinc alloy with a matte tin finish and gold-plated copper-nickel alloy contact. These connectors are mechanically keyed for foolproof installation and designed with a terminal position assurance (TPA) secondary locking mechanism to ensure secure mating. All AUTOMATE products support data transmission rates up to 20 Gb/s, which is critical for technologies such as autonomous vehicles and autonomous mobile robots. This compact, ruggedized solution provides space savings of up to 80% compared with traditional FAKRA connectors. AUTOMATE connectors are impact resistant and have notably low engagement forces. They are designed to be intermateable and interchangeable with industry-standard options and are typically used in wireless connectivity, infotainment, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), GPS, and a variety of other autonomous applications within the automotive and industrial market.
Rosenberger has developed the HSI connector system for reliable high-speed data and power transmission in harsh environments. Designed for demanding outdoor conditions and standardized in cooperation with the AEF (Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation), HSI (High-Speed Implement Bus System) is the new standard for applications in trucks, construction machinery, and agricultural applications. High-performance and robust connections between tractors and trailers or seed, fertilizer, and harvesting machines are indispensable for reliable high-speed data transmission, an increasingly important component in the electronics of vehicles and machines. HSI connectors provide robustness and electrical reliability in other all-terrain applications under demanding environmental conditions, such as in the construction vehicle industry. Applications of HSI interconnect systems include monitoring systems, data systems for consumption, seed and fertilizer optimization, GPS coordination, and level and tonnage measurement. The extremely rugged HSI connector system features highly reliable power and data transmission, a break-away connection, waterproofing, and UV resistance.

Amphenol Communications Solutions introduced PwrMAX I/O, high density power and signal cable connector. It can carry up to 50A/Contact (100A/column) with 12 adjacent contacts powered. A range of 6AWG – 8AWG wire options are available for power contacts and 22AWG for signal contacts. This connector series also offers slide-to-lock or squeeze-to-release latching options. These latches offer higher mated retention and ensure a reliable connection between contacts. Panel-mounted or standard configurations are available for large power distribution systems. PwrMAX I/O was designed to have highly configurable power and signal contacts to accommodate a wide range of power-dense applications.
ODU offers silicone overmolding for the medical industry. Since medical applications must meet specific hygienic and mechanical requirements, the silicone overmolding of the contact specialist connects the ODU connector with the certified silicone cable and combines the best haptics with hygiene and resistance. The silicone overmoldings are easy to clean, flexible, insensitive to extreme temperatures and can be used even after the required autoclave cycles (steam sterilization at up to 134 °C and 3.040 mbar), neither subtract nor detach. The biocompatibility regarding cytotoxicity testing (outgassing) according to DIN EN ISO 10993-5 is confirmed by an external test laboratory. The complex process of silicone overmolding enables an absolutely tight but flexible connection between the silicone cables and the connector (kink protection according to DIN EN ISO 61010-031 as well as increased strain relief) and is adapted to the specific material properties of the silicone cable.

Pasternack introduced a new series of VHF/UHF dipole, collinear, and Yagi antennas for a variety of applications, including public safety, land mobile radio (LMR), trunking, military communications, and amateur radio. The new line of VHF/UHF exposed dipole arrays, omnidirectional collinear and Yagi antennas feature multiple gain options with fixed and adjustable dipole configurations. Their ruggedized designs guarantee reliable performance in all environmental conditions. The antennas are DC grounded for lightning protection, feature high-power handling of over 200 watts, and cover frequencies of 135 MHz to 512 MHz. The individual folded and straight dipole antennas allow for minimal storage and efficient transportation. Additionally, these pre-configured dipole arrays include internalized cabling, making for quick and simple deployments. All components for Pasternack’s VHF/UHF antennas are offered in optional prefabricated arrays with fixed ¼-wave or ½-wave spacing from the mast.

Indium Corporation’s Heat-Spring, a soft metal alloy (SMA) thermal interface material (TIM), reduces thermal resistance and enhances cooling by utilizing two key properties of indium metal — superior thermal conductivity and malleability. As added benefits, indium metal will not dissolve in immersion fluids and is considered an environmentally friendly TIM because it can be re-used, reclaimed, and re-formed. Indium Corporation’s patented SMA-TIMs made of indium and other alloys offer uniform thermal resistance at lower applied stresses in compressed interfaces. The malleability of indium minimizes surface resistance and increases heat flow (conductance). SMA-TIMs can easily be placed by hand or with tape & reel and automation. Unlike standard thermal interface materials, Heat-Spring offers an extremely long service life, as it does not pump-out under power cycling, nor does it bake-out over time. This combination of high conductance, a multi-patterned surface area to optimize contact with non-planar surfaces, and low degradation over time produces a superior thermal interface and assures optimized long-term device performance in compressed interfaces. Pattern options depend on applications such as immersion cooling, TIM1 to bare die, TIM2 for lidded CPU, or GPU applications. Indium Corporation also offers special cladded diffusion barrier TIMs just for burn-in and class testing.
Molex introduced the Super-Safeway Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) industrial-duty product at the 2023 International Production & Processing Expo. The new GFCI offering is the first portable 20A device to earn the IP69K rating, which is the highest level of industrial protection against the penetration of high-pressure, high-temperature water and dust. This latest addition to Molex’s Woodhead line of permanent-mount and portable GFCI solutions is ideally suited for the food-processing industry as well as other applications where sanitizing equipment continually creates excessive moisture and humidity conditions.
