Circular

Recognized by their familiar round shape, circular connectors are multi-pin interconnects that offer a secure and easy method to connect and disconnect.  Circular connectors allow for a wide variety of voltages and currents, can incorporate a variety of contact types including signal, power, fiber, and RF/coax, and offer several termination styles based on contact selection. Circular connectors typically feature a plastic or metal shell surrounding the contacts that are embedded in an insulating material designed to keep the contacts in alignment and shielded from the housing. Contacts can be manually inserted after termination to wire or permanently encased in the insulator. Based on construction, circular connectors can be especially resistant to environmental conditions such as shock, vibration, chemical exposure, and rough handling.
