Connector Supplier Presents Top 10 Survey Results Series: Best Overall Performance
The results of the 2021 Bishop & Associates North American Customer Satisfaction Survey of the Electronic Connector Industry are in. Here we reveal the Top 10 connector suppliers for overall best performance.
Top 10 Connector Suppliers Overall
Bishop & Associates has completed its 2021 North American customer survey, which evaluated 37 connector manufacturers. A total of 221 customers answered 18 questions relating to important issues such as quality, pricing, delivery, lead times, technical support, and more to determine the Top 10 connector suppliers.
Note: 46% of participants are engineers and 39.8% are OEMs.
The Top 10 Connector Suppliers for Best Overall Performance
The overall performers’ rank was determined by 11 questions related to quality of products, price competitiveness, turnaround times, and more. Survey participants were asked to choose one of the seven following responses to each question:
7 = Extremely satisfied 3 = Dissatisfied
6 = Very satisfied 2 = Very dissatisfied
5 = Satisfied 1 = Extremely dissatisfied
4 = Neutral
The following table identifies the Top 10 connector suppliers that received the highest customer evaluations in overall best performance by average score, total responses, and base of operation origin.
Note: 7.000 is the highest possible score.
Samtec, WAGO, and Phoenix Contact placed first, second, and third, respectively, in the 2021 North American Customer Survey. Amphenol and LEMO Connectors both improved by 14 places in 2021 versus their 2018 rank. New to this year’s list of top 10 connector manufacturers in the overall performance group are Phoenix Contact, Amphenol, Hirose Electric, LEMO Connectors, and TE Connectivity.
The following table is a comparison of this year’s Top 10 connector suppliers’ overall performance ranking versus the previous four years in which the survey was conducted.
Samtec placed first in the last five surveys. Molex ranked in the Top 10 in all five years. WAGO placed in the top 10 in the last four surveys (WAGO did not participate in the 2012 survey).
