Smiths Interconnect’s new TSX Series of fixed chip attenuators is optimized to combine high frequency and power in a small package. The TSX Series offers excellent broadband performance up to 50GHz, while delivering increased power handling in a small 0604 surface mount package. It allows wider coverage than traditional components while providing optimized return loss for multiple frequency ranges. This allows the customer to use a single chip in multiple applications, reducing the bill of material (BOM) item count and cost of ownership. The chip attenuator design, available for surface mounting, offers 1 to 3 watts of power handling performance and multiple attenuation values. The use of a robust thin film process technology on an alumina substrate provides a product suitable for harsh environments, such as those of space and defense applications. Each product is engineered using 3D electromagnetic simulation (EM) software to provide excellent performance in a total thin film process.
TTI Inc. supplies Molex Mini-Fit Versa Color Connectors and Molex Mini-Fit Sigma Connectors. Molex Mini-Fit Versa Color Connectors offer visual color pairing to reduce assembly errors and to help ensure terminals are fully seated to avoid end-product failure. They are available in red, green, and blue with 2 to 12 circuits. These connectors are ideal for use in a variety of automotive, commercial vehicle, consumer, data, home appliance, industrial, and medical applications. Mini-Fit Sigma Sealed Wire-to-Wire Connectors utilize traditional Mini-Fit TPA2 terminals and wire gauges while providing protection from water, foam, and dust debris ingress. They feature a slim profile design that delivers 11.5A for a wide range of applications. Molex Mini-Fit Connectors deliver an operating temperature up to +125°C, offer a double crimp tool, and is available in board-to-board, wire-to-board, and wire-to-wire configurations.
SCHURTER power entry module, series DG12 with mains filter integrates an IEC inlet, circuit breaker, and optional IP protection. The extremely compact design consolidates discrete power components into one space-saving unit suitable for a variety of applications. The DG12/DG11 (with or without mains filter) features a recessed 2-pole ON/OFF rocker switch circuit breaker with 1- or 2-pole overcurrent protection. Various colors and markings are available for both illuminated and non-illuminated switches. Current ratings range from 0.05 A to 15 A. The IP67 unit features a circuit breaker with a factory mounted seal cover and frame with inlay gasket. Designed to mount tightly to the front panel, options include snap-in, 1 to 3 mm, screw-mount with sealed screws, and front or rear panel with top/bottom or side flange. The DG12 features a standard and low leakage mains filter, with standard or higher inductive performance options. The filter series is available in standard or medical versions for Protection Class I and II. Applications include IT or telecom systems according to IEC 90650, and medical devices according to IEC 60601-1. The series is compatible with V-Lock cord retention connection cables.
Harwin now announces the Archer .8 series for industrial markets. With a 5 mm stack height, these dual-row 0.8 mm-pitch board-to-board connectors are intended for uses where cost-effectiveness is important and space is limited. These include factory automation and environmental monitoring equipment, smart meters, point-of-sales units, servers/data center hardware, and battery management systems in electric vehicles. The Archer .8 connectors have all the attributes necessary for modern industrial equipment. The phosphor bronze contacts can carry a current of 0.5 A each and satisfy a broad range of design requirements. Polarization helps with orientation and alignment and prevents mis-mating, while shrouded housings protect contacts from accidental damage. To facilitate automated assembly processes, the connectors are supplied in tape and reel packaging, with locating pegs fitted. These newly extended .8 mm connectors are compact, reliable, and operate within a wide temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
Amphenol RF offers two new waterproof sealed connector series: IP-rated N-Type connectors (pictured) and IP67 SMA connectors. IP-rated N-Type connector series includes an additional rear mount bulkhead jack. This high-frequency connector is optimized for RG-405, 0.085”, and 0.086” cable types and offers protection against the effects of temporary submersion. IP67 N-Type connectors are ideal for applications such as antennas, base stations, and military communications where a system may be exposed to external weather-related elements. N-Type connectors serve systems that require high power handling and low VSWR and insertion loss. IP67 SMA connectors series features a new bulkhead jack configuration that includes a lightweight 50 ohm connector designed to accommodate RG-58 cable and provide extra protection against weather-related elements. Waterproof SMA connectors are ideal for harsh environment applications such as industrial equipment, base stations, and outdoor kiosks.
The Y-Circ P series of push-pull circular connectors from Yamaichi Electronics is expanding with a new release system. The opening assistance is compatible with all straight and angled cable connectors of the Y-Circ P series and can be used for all standard sizes. With its facilitating release function, this accessory helps the user gain full advantage of the push-pull connectors, especially within tight mounting spaces. The lanyard extends the connector while maintaining the push-pull system´s features and advantages. Merely pulling on the lanyard leads to an unlocking effect, increasing time-efficiency through better accessibility. Yamaichi Electronics offers new products of the Y-Circ P series in a pre-assembled condition. The unlocking aid is offered as a retrofit kit for field assembly.

Amphenol RF has expanded its SMA to AMC cable assembly series to include the durable straight SMA plug connector and the ultraminiature right angle AMC connector on 1.13 mm micro coax cable. These assemblies are ideal for IoT and antenna applications with internal space constraints. The SMA straight plug contact is engineered from brass with gold plating while the AMC right angle plug is constructed with PBT housing and a gold plated, phosphor bronze contact. The 1.13 mm micro coax cable is extremely flexible and allows this assembly to be used in tight spaces without any concerns for damaging the unit. The SMA to AMC cable assembly is available in standard lengths from 50 mm to 300 mm. Custom lengths are available upon request. The SMA to AMC cable assembly features a small footprint and low profile, and provides reliable electric performance up to 6 GHz. This 50 ohm assembly is compatible with the industry standard U.FL interface which allows for additional mating options. It is ideal for wireless handheld devices and board-to-board applications connecting wireless radio modules to external antennas.

Interstate Connecting Components, a division of Heilind Mil-Aero, is now offering M28876 circular fiber optic connectors with black hard anodized (BHA) PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) plating. The connectors are precision-engineered by Amphenol Fiber Systems International. The BHA PFTE-plated connectors are qualified to MIL-PRF-28876, Revision F, which supersedes the Revision E specification for olive drab cadmium plating. Because it is very hard and nearly chemically inert, the BHA plating is impervious to many corrosive compounds. This makes the connectors an ideal choice for applications like navy shipboards, oil and gas, mission-critical combat and communication systems, mobile tactical shelters, and harsh industry. While ICC is now providing value-added assembly on the new BHA-plated connectors, customers will still be able to order the older olive-drab plated connectors in commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) versions. Amphenol Fiber Systems’ M28876 connectors operate with all qualified single mode and multimode M29504/14 and /15 termini. Backshells are available in straight, 45-degree, and 90-degree configurations and utilize the manufacturer’s proprietary Quickloc captivation system.
