Harwin
has introduced horizontal backshells for its Gecko-Screw-Lok (Gecko-SL) series of lightweight, high-reliability connectors. These backshells ensure a fully EMI/RFI shielded connection for horizontal 1.25 mm pitch board-to-cable connections. Previously Gecko EMI/RFI shielding was only available on vertical board-to-cable orientations. This new development will be of real value to applications requiring EMI/RFI protection, but where there is very little space to fit the connectors and cabling. Applications include satellites and CubeSats, UAVs, robotics, medical equipment, and high-density industrial systems. The horizontal backshells are available with and without rear panel mount lugs. These backshells are compatible with the Gecko-SL horizontal through-board connectors (with standard gender locking) and Gecko-MT mixed layout connectors (which have both power and data-carrying capabilities).
Amphenol Communications Solutions’ PCIe M.2 Gen 5 connectors
provide 67 contacts on 0.50 mm pitch. They occupy less board space, offer more connector height options, and support higher data rates compared to PCIe Mini Card connectors. Because they are designed for PCIe Gen 5, they are suitable for tablets, laptops, and low– profile storage and server applications. PCIe M.2 connectors also support higher data rate transmission with both single– and double-sided modules.
Amphenol RF’s high-frequency SMA panel mount receptacle series has an additional two-hole flange configuration. This stainless steel SMA jack features a flat tab termination and offers high durability and abrasion resistance in a variety of operating environments. SMA panel mount receptacles are ideal for PCB designs in commercial, industrial, and military microwave component applications. The SMA panel mount receptacle jack is constructed from high-strength stainless steel with a gold-finished body and a gold contact. This connector offers reliable electrical performance up to 18 GHz and is available in a two-hole flange configuration. The two holes are typically mounted horizontally to the housing. The 0.005” flat tab contact is epoxy captivated to prevent damage due to rotations and provides improvements in RF leakage for better overall performance. This two-hole flange jack joins a robust portfolio of fully customizable SMA panel mount connectors. The series includes both two and four-hole flange configurations and various termination options including post contacts with extended PTFE insulators as well as solder cups, tabs, and slotted contacts. These connectors are often used in RF amplifiers, attenuators, couplers, detectors, and microwave filters.

Amphenol Communications Solutions‘ OCP 48V compliant Barklip BK500 power cable assembliesare designed to meet OCP V3 power distribution architecture standards and provide a convenient method of distributing up to 500 A per contact between busbars, cables, and circuit boards. The connector system features two individual power circuits and two newly added secondary chassis grounding contacts. Barklip BK500’s high current carrying capabilities and customizable features enable the solution to be used in a variety of power dense data center applications such as power shelfs, BBUs, and server/storage sleds.
The new LEMO M series ratchet coupling high power connectors were developed to satisfy the most stringent connection requirements for high power distribution of electronic devices and electric drive vehicles or , essentially any system with electrical motors, batteries, and inverters where high torque may be required for short or longer periods. Theis new LEMO M series high power portfolio constitutes one of the most comprehensive, compact, light, rugged, safe, and completely waterproof reliable interconnect solution sets available for high power requirements. M series is tested to MIL Standards (MIL-STD-810F) and the threaded option for MIL-DTL-38999M backshell. Various sizes and configurations provide maximum rated current ranging from 140 A to 430 A, with 360° screening for full EMC shielding. The series is oil– and fuel– resistant, and is sealed to IP68 mated and IP68 unmated with options.

Newark now ships the new R&SLCX series of LCR meters from Rohde & Schwarz. This all-in-one PLC controller and cell modem eliminates extra hardware and, by using the controller’s web-based management configuration software to initiate the cell modem, reduces set up time. This new controller can deliver information directly to cCloud servers and send or receive SMS messages. The parameters from the PLC controller can be directly communicated to devices via wireless technology, allowing users running edge of network applications to collect data, control machine functions, and connect to Cloud cloud servers without adding traffic to wired networks. This device is perfect for distributed I/O in remote settings.
