Calex convertersSager Electronics now stocks Calex’s HBM 150W DC/DC converters. Delivering the latest technology in fixed frequency power conversion, Calex’s HBM series is ideal for industrial, railway, and harsh environment applications. The HBM series is designed for high reliability, using the latest circuit technologies along with proprietary packaging and thermal management techniques. The modules incorporate many features to protect the power module — as well as expensive end-use equipment — from fault conditions. Protection features include input under voltage lockout, output overvoltage protection, output current limit, short circuit, and over temperature shutdown.

Amphenol floating board-to-board connectors at TTITTI now stocks Amphenol ICC’s 0.80 mm Floating Board-to-Board Connectors from Amphenol’s B406/B407/B410 Series. These connectors support stack heights of up to 23 mm and are available in 30 to 120 positions. The unique connector design has a floating range of ±0.50mm in the X, Y, and Z directions which makes it very resistant to vibration. Misalignments are tolerated during mating or vibrations in pick-and-place processes, improving overall contact reliability. It also supports speed performance up to 2.5 Gb/s to meet high transmission requirements. Typical applications include car navigation and dashboards, wearables, industrial PCs, and camera monitoring applications.

Cinch Connectivity Solutions introduced the C-ENXCinch Connectivity Solutions introduced the C-ENX range of shells, inserts, and contacts for in-cabin interconnectivity for the aerospace industry. The main applications include routing power, signal, and data for avionic systems. Designed to meet the requirements of ARINC 800 and European standard EN 4644, the C-ENX family features a rectangular profile that provides a reduction in weight and size over circular connectors. This translates to operational cost savings over the lifetime of the aircraft. Modular rectangular connectors provide significant advantages over circular connectors, including higher pin density and lower weight, and the capability for blind mating needed for LRM/LRUs (line replaceable modules and units). The C-ENX line is available in single-, double-, triple-, and quadruple-cavity outlines for panel mount to cable, cable to cable, floating mount, and panel mount to panel mount configurations.

Weidmuller Kippon A2C terminal blockWeidmuller’s Klippon Connect high-current terminal blocks help to save space and time while ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of electrical power. The UL-approved (cURus) Klippon Connect product family has been extended to include the new A2C 50/70 and A2C 95/120 high-current terminal blocks. They allow the connection of solid and stranded conductors up to a rated wire range of 2/0 AWG to 4/0 AWG. They are rated to a voltage of 1000 V AC/1500 V DC and a current of 150 A (A2C 50/70) or 232 A (A2C 95/120). Equipped with the PUSH IN-Power connection with the operating lever, a wired connection can be established in seconds – simply insert the conductor into the open contact point, actuate the lever, and a stable, gas-tight, and vibration-proof connection is established. When the lever is closed, the conductor can be inserted directly into the connection point without any tools. This time-saving, reliable connection guarantees a high degree of flexibility during wiring.

TE Connectivity’s Dynamic 8000 series and Mini SeriesHeilind Electronics expands its range of harsh environment connector solutions with TE Connectivity’s Dynamic 8000 series and Mini Series. TE Connectivity’s Dynamic Series connector solutions range from signal level circuitry to power circuit connectivity in a ruggedized, industrialized package. Equipped with a robust housing structure and high-quality crimp contacts, these wire-to-board, wire-to-panel, and wire-to-wire connectors offer diverse housings for many industrial and harsh environment applications. The Dynamic D8000 is a new high-current pluggable connector with an audible lock design and crimping contacts that carry currents as high as 100 A per pin for wire-to-wire and 90 A for wire-to-board. They are suitable for power supply systems in battery test equipment, battery management systems, factory automation, and robotics. In addition, they have a rated voltage of 1000V AC/DC and can withstand voltages of up to 3000V AC. The Mini Dynamic Series has a lower profile than the existing Dynamic D1000, saving valuable space on the board.

TTI Inc. now supplies Honeywell’s General Aerospace Proximity Sensors (GAPS) and Harsh Aerospace Proximity Sensors (HAPS)TTI Inc. now supplies Honeywell’s General Aerospace Proximity Sensors (GAPS) and Harsh Aerospace Proximity Sensors (HAPS). These two new platforms of proximity sensors were previously known as the IHM Series. Both platforms incorporate Honeywell’s patented Integrated Health Monitoring functionality, however the products have some technical differences that also allow them to be used in various aerospace applications. GAPS can be used in less harsh areas of application with some differences of electrical and environmental characteristics when compared to HAPS. HAPS Aerospace Proximity Sensors are configurable, non-contact, hermetically sealed devices designed to sense the presence or absence of a target in aircraft applications.

Bulgin cable configuration toolBulgin’s Custom Cable Assembly Builder makes it possible to outline the fundamental design of a custom assembly and derive an initial visualization prior to moving towards the sampling phase. Assembly concepts for power, data, and fiber optic implementations can be rapidly created and adjusted as needed. Customers can create a cable assembly that meets their exact deployment criteria. Possible features and performance parameters include current ratings, number of contacts, contact types, plug/inline body types, and more. In addition, users can decide on the cable length and whether the cabling will have a single-ended, double-ended, or triple-ended arrangement. Different housing materials (plastic, metal, etc.) can be picked, as well as numerous cabling materials (PVC, PUR, etc.). Once customers complete the assembly configuration, they are presented with a 2D rendering of their design with a PDF so that the details can be verified. A sample unit can be quickly constructed and sent to the customer for examination. Try out Bulgin’s new configurator tool here.

Pasternack PE WaveguidePasternack’s new mechanically tunable waveguide Gunn diode oscillators cover WR-90, WR-42, and WR-28 waveguide sizes and support X, K, and Ka bands. All models in this line operate at 50 ohms and incorporate a mechanical tuning screw to fine tune the output frequency for specific applications. They deliver output power levels up to +18.5 dBm typical and utilize Indium Phosphide (InP) Gunn diodes that yield higher output power, higher efficiency, and lower AM noise than GaAs counterparts. Their compact package designs are highly reliable and designed to meet MIL-STD-202 test conditions for shock, vibration, altitude, and humidity. Operational temperature ranges are -40°C to +85°C.

Molex thin film batter from HeilindHeilind Electronics has expanded its selection of electronic component solutions with disposable thin-film batteries from Molex. They are zinc-carbon primary cells (Zn anode/MnO2 cathode) that nominally deliver either 1.5 or 3.0 volts. Typical applications include single-use or disposable sensing and monitoring devices where lightweight, thin form factor, and flexibility are desired. The vertical construction reduces the footprint compared to other printed batteries and leads to lower internal resistance and improved performance. These thin-film batteries can be applied in a curved surface with a bend radius of 25 mm or greater. The 1.5 V and 3 V batteries support design flexibility and reduce the distance between anode and cathode. They operate at a temperature range of -35°C to +50° C.
