Lumberg’s 360° shielded screw-type circular connector features an innovative shielding mechanism on the inside of the casing that makes it possible to compose the entire connector from a much smaller number of individual parts. This facilitates a much faster assembly process when mounting the connector to the cable by soldering or crimping. The highly time-consuming and elaborate process of expanding, shortening, and applying a shielding braid required with comparable connectors is eliminated. The quality of the assembly is raised by eliminating typical assembly errors, which can immensely impact watertightness. Cannon’s KPT Hermetic connectors are a fully gas-tight and waterproof series that are intermateable to VG95328/MIL-DTL-26482 standards. They are high-density miniature circular connectors with a glass-to-metal hermetic seal that can withstand up to 200 °C and 100 bar. KTP Hermetic connectors are available with straight, PCB, and solder pot contact options. Standard configurations include 4, 6, and 19-way layouts with multiple other layout options available on request.

CDM now provides the AP- and AJ- Series of connectors from Amphenol NEXUS Technologies, which are watertight in up to six feet of water and breakaway with an axial push-pull motion. This series of circular connectors features exclusive molded-on wiping-action contacts that provide a self-cleaning feature and eliminate issues with pin/socket open contacts. These 7-pin and 10-pin connectors are designed for multiple cable diameters, are available in shielded versions, and can include either solder-type contacts or insulation-piercing contacts, which are field replaceable.
