Sager Electronics now stocks Cincon’s TR220M single-output 220W AC-DC desktop medical adapter. Cincon’s reliable, compact, high power density adapters are fully protected against short circuit and over-voltage conditions within a universal 80VAC to 264VAC input range. These medical adapters are highly efficient – up to 94% – and operate within a -30°C to 70°C temperature range. The TR220M adapters are available as Class I or Class II devices with cable lengths ranging from 950 mm to 1800 mm. The TR220M series suits a variety medical applications, including ventilators, monitors, medical workstations, and hemodialysis.
Smiths Interconnect has released its LightCONEX optical plug-in and backplane module connectors compatible with the VITA 66.5 draft standard and aligned with the SOSA Technical Standard for VPX systems in rugged embedded computing applications and sensor systems. Building on Smiths Interconnect’s Reflex Photonics technology, the LightCONEX active blind-mate optical interconnect system is a revolutionary solution for VPX systems that incorporates an optical transceiver into the plug-in module connector. The optical interconnect meets military standard requirements for shock, vibration, and harsh environmental conditions.
Heilind Electronics now stocks a full range of Molex PowerPlane Busbar Power Connectors. The connectors facilitate mating with de facto output blades for typical power supply applications. Constructed from a high-conductivity copper alloy, Molex PowerPlane Power Connectors provide superior electrical performance for power distribution applications and are equipped with a float mount design that facilitates blind mating with up to +/- 1 mm of potential misalignment. Dimensionally compatible with competitors’ connectors, PowerPlane accommodates drop-in replacement for second-source opportunities. The silver plating offers lower resistance while the low voltage drop affords minimal heat generation. One of the key features of the connector is its multiple independent points of contact, allowing for 40% more points of contact than competitive products. Several current rating options and attachment methods are possible while utilizing the same separable interface.
WAGO’s 221 series expands with the new 221 Inline Splicing Connector. This connector allows universal conductor connection, a visibly secure conductor contact, and comes with intuitive orange levers for a tool-free wiring experience for solid, stranded, and fine-stranded conductors from 12-20 AWG. Equipped with WAGO’s spring=pressure, maintenance-free cage-clamp connection technology, the new inline connectors offer the option of using additional adapters where multiple poles are required. With or without strain relief, the freedom of a highly modular and flexible connection is possible with a snap-in mounting foot, screw, adhesive, tie-on, or suspended mounting and can be placed on a 15 mm or 35 mm DIN rail.
Amphenol RF has added new SMA jack configurations designed for various micro-coax cable types to its portfolio of ultraminiature products. Micro-coax cables allow for additional flexibility and less bulk, which makes them the preferred choice in designs with space constraints. Ultraminiature SMA jacks are ideal for applications such as telecommunications and wireless technology. SMA connectors are lightweight and compact and offer reliable RF performance up to 6 GHz. Their high-strength design and threaded coupling mechanism combat vibration to secure mating. These SMA jacks are constructed with gold-plated brass bodies with gold-plated beryllium copper contacts. They utilize a larger back end to increase the compatibility options of other connectors that can be paired with them.
The ODU-MAC Silver-Line includes modular connectors for docking systems. The P4+ frame, a new addition, effortlessly overcomes tolerance compensation challenges and ensures a durable interface for at least 100,000 mating cycles. One of eight available robust frame types, the P4+ offers increased tolerance compensation with a radial play of +/- 4 mm. This ensures optimal compensation for misalignments and makes even extreme centering tasks possible. Use cases for the P4+ frame include docking applications in industry and Test & Measurement engineering, as well as end-of-line testing and mechanical engineering. Possible uses include a charging interface for autonomous vehicles or automatic docking during battery replacement. The docking frames are available in custom lengths and can be flexibly equipped with the required modules for a combination of signals, power, high current, high voltage, RF signals (coax), air or fluids, data transmission, and fiber optics.
Belden’s 12 GHz Micro BNC Connectors offer a footprint that’s 51% smaller than standard BNC connectors. These connectors support four times the panel density for professional broadcasters running live programming utilizing 4K UHD and 12G-SDI. Also new, Belden FiberExpress (FX) OM5 System Connectivity completes the end-to-end system portfolio and includes fiber assemblies, patch cords, connectors, and cassettes and frames. All OM5 connectivity components are available in the color Lime Green for easy identification.
