Amphenol PowerBlok WTB Provides Current up to 70A

By News Release | February 17, 2014

The Amphenol PowerBlok WTB connector provides a high-current single point of connection.

Amphenol-PowerBlok-021814-NPAmphenol Industrial Products Group has expanded its line of RADSOK high-current connectors with a new power-to-board connector. PowerBlok WTB (wire-to-board), a simple and cost effective latching connector, provides a high-current single point of connection to a PCB of up to 70 A.

Ideal for use in server and data storage systems, cellular infrastructure equipment, and battery systems, the flexible and economical PowerBlok WTB reliably delivers high-current internal connections between cables and PCBs.

The compact PowerBlok WTB’s stamped and formed receptacle provides multiple points of contact for even current transfer to the PCB.

Amphenol’s PowerBlok WTB allows users to crimp a wire directly onto the contact and bring power to the board. Its low-profile, right-angle exit has a less than 1/2″ mated height. No special crimp tools are required with this connector, which offers a small footprint of 15.7mm squared.

The RoHS-compliant PowerBlok WTB uses Amphenol’s patented and reliable RADSOK technology that attains higher current ratings and lower contact resistance in comparison to other contact methods on the market.
