DigiKey added more than 32,000 innovative new product introductions (NPIs) in the second quarter of 2025, extensively expanding its range of products available for same-day shipment. In total, the distributor added over 236,000 new products and 127 new suppliers across its core business, Marketplace, and Fulfilled by DigiKey programs in Q2. This brings DigiKey’s overall portfolio to more than 16.5 million products and allows customers to order prototype quantities and have those parts shipped immediately without having to place a special order in factory quantities or wait for lead or transit time. Among the product additions are KYOCERA AVX’s 9288-000 two-piece hermaphroditic wire-to-wire and wire-to-board connectors that allow for easy wire termination in the field.

PEI-Genesis now stocks Cinch Connectivity Solutions Trompeter Space Grade TRB, TRT, TTM, and TRS RF connectors, engineered for the extreme demands of military and commercial space programs. Fully compliant with NASA low outgassing and MIL-STD-1553B data bus standards, these connectors deliver reliable performance in mission-critical environments. Lumberg adds a future-proof, easy-to-install, and high-performance connection solution to its circular connector portfolio with the launch of the crimp variants in its SV and KV connector series. The proven M16 connectors with screw-locking mechanisms in accordance with IEC 61076-2-106 and protection rating IP40 are now available with crimp contacts. This enables efficient processing, including automated assembly for large-scale industrial applications. The crimp technology used in the SV and KV connectors ensures a secure, gas-tight connection with low contact resistance, ideal for demanding applications in industrial automation, mechanical engineering, measurement and control systems, and other technical fields. The combination of SV plugs and KV sockets, along with a wide range of panel-mount options, provides a secure, durable connection ideal for a variety of applications from industrial environments to electronic systems. Both series stand out with their flexibility, premium materials, and excellent performance.
Lumberg also introduced its latest series of modular connectors, types 2542 01, 02 with bend protection, up to 03 in angular and rotatable versions, along with matching sockets 2542 04 and 05. The Cat 6a RJ45 plugs and sockets are ideal for modern network applications, offering tool-free installation and a robust design. They are perfect for quick and reliable onsite assembly for all networks, from voice to 10 Gigabit Ethernet. The 2542 01 is a straight 8p8c RJ45 connector with a protected locking latch and full shielding. The insulation displacement technology (IDT) enables quick and reliable tool-free installation, saving both time and costs. With gold-plated bronze contacts, the connector provides excellent electrical properties and ensures reliable signal transmission over time. The connector is particularly suited for demanding ATM-Gigabit and multimedia Ethernet network environments where high operational reliability, durability, and easy handling are essential. Its modular design allows the 2542 01 to be flexibly integrated into a variety of applications, from industrial communication to high-performance office solutions and home LAN setups. In terms of speed, the connectors, paired with Cat 6a cables, outperform Cat 6, as Cat 6a operates at double the frequency, nearly 500 MHz, and supports speeds of up to 10 Gb/s.
Hirose’s hybrid FPC-to-board connector family now includes the BK11 Series, a multi-power version that supports high power capacity in a compact, space-saving design. The BK11 Series multi-power hybrid FPC-to-board connector is equipped with two main power contacts supporting 4A per pin, four sub-power contacts supporting 2.5A per pin, and 10 signal contacts. By reducing the number of signal contacts, the BK11 helps save up to 46% of mounting space compared to conventional hybrid connectors. With a 0.35 mm pitch, 1.9 mm width, 5.33 mm length, and 0.6 mm stacking height, it enables OEMs to reduce the size of portable devices without sacrificing performance. Selectable power contact usage provides design flexibility for designers of smartphones, wireless earbuds, smart watches, and other wearables.
KYOCERA AVX released the new 9288-000 Series hermaphroditic wire-to-wire (WTW) and wire-to-board (WTB) connectors for lighting and industrial applications. These unique two-piece connectors facilitate WTW termination with two identical mating halves, which simplifies BOMs, and WTB termination with one half and an SMT version. Both halves of the new 9288-000 Series hermaphroditic connectors feature orange or white glass-filled PBT insulators equipped with plastic latches for good mechanical retention and the company’s field-proven poke-home contact technology, which enables quick, easy, and tool-free in-field wire termination. Simply strip and poke wires to insert and twist and pull to extract. Made of phosphor bronze with lead-free tin-over-nickel plating, these poke-home contacts also establish durable, reliable, high-integrity connections and deliver excellent electrical and mechanical performance. The new 9288-000 Series connectors are available with 2 to 4 contacts on a 5 mm pitch, compatible with 16- to 18AWG solid or stranded wire, and rated for 6A (18AWG) or 7A (16AWG), 600VACRMS, or the DC equivalent, 20 mating cycles, three wire replacement cycles, and operating temperatures extending from -40 °C to +125 °C. They are also UL approved and RoHS compliant and shipped in tape and reel or bulk packaging.
Amphenol RF introduced a new high-performance surface-mount straight SMB jack. With a true surface-mount footprint, this connector is designed with four gold-plated ground tabs that solder directly to the board for superior coplanarity and automated pick-and-place handling. This 50 ohm jack features a drop-in footprint which makes it well-suited for industrial control modules, Test & Measurement equipment, avionics, and military electronics. It offers reliable RF connectivity up to 4 GHz in temperatures from -65° C to +165°C for high-performance in harsh environments. The body, coupling sleeve, and center contact are machined from gold-plated brass that provides corrosion resistance, while the insulator utilizes natural PTFE. The ruggedized construction allows for a minimum of 500 mating cycles and a VSWR of less than or equal to 1.20.
Power Dynamics Inc. combo IEC 60320 receptacles accept C14, C16, C16A, and C20 power cords. Design one connector for multiple uses. These receptacles have a maximum current rating of 20A, 250V, optional clear light pipes for custom visual presentation, and are TUV approved.

Taoglas released the Patriot series, a compact, multi-function combination roof mount antenna designed for connected vehicle fleets across emergency services, utilities, and commercial sectors. Integrating up to 18 antenna elements in a single low-profile enclosure, the Patriot delivers robust multi-network connectivity while reducing vehicle roof clutter and simplifying installation. Originally developed for the Ford Interceptor, the existing vehicle OEM antenna can simply be replaced with the Patriot, while keeping the original antenna functionality, but also adding multi-radio connectivity. This reduces the need for new holes in the roof of the vehicle. Supporting 5G and 4G cellular (600–6000 MHz), with both dual-band GNSS (L1 and L1/ L5) and a secondary GNSS (L1), Wi-Fi (2.4, 5.8, and 7.1 GHz), SDARS (2.3 GHz), and LMR/TETRA (380–400 MHz and 700–900 MHz), the Patriot enables concurrent broadband, navigation, telemetry, and voice services. A dedicated whip element with full P25 VHF/UHF/700-900 MHz support is available in various lengths.

This newest VPX model is built on the robust architecture and award-winning innovation of the AirBorn 6U VPX Power Supply. The new 3U version has been engineered to offer unparalleled reliability and efficiency for the most challenging operational environments. AirBorn’s patent-pending VPX Power Supply family optimizes size, weight, power, and cost (SWaP-C) while meeting VPX and VITA 62 open architecture and performance requirements. Approximately one-third the size and weight of the 6U VPX Power Supply, the new SOSA-compliant 3U power system has been designed to achieve a maximum output of 1,000 watts and offers out-of-the-box compliance with MIL-STD-1275 and MIL-STD-461 CE101/CE102 conducted emission test requirements.
