Their hard work has paid off: TE’s next generation MULTIGIG RT connector was recently selected by the VITA Standards Organization as the next-generation plug-in module standard with doubled pin count compared to VITA 46 and data rates up to 112 Gb/s. Congratulations to the team for this win establishing the future of high-speed, rugged embedded systems!

Hirose FH82 Series FPC connectorHirose FH82 Series FPC connector is the smallest FPC version to date. With a pitch of 0.25 mm, height of 0.65 mm, and thickness of 0.2 mm, the FH82 Series offers space-savings that enables a reduction in size of automotive, consumer, medical, smart home, wearable and other electronic devices. The FH82 Series is commonly used for connecting displays and sensors in devices. Connection is completed by just inserting the FPC with patented One Action FH connectors. There is no need to touch the actuator when connecting, preventing actuator damage. The work time and number of operation steps is reduced to one-third for a dramatically increased production capacity. The FH82 Series is available in a 14-position version that is halogen-free and RoHS compliant. Hirose’s One Action FH Series includes four other connector versions with heights ranging from 0.9 mm to 5.2 mm. Shielded versions are also available to meet high-speed requirements.

SurLok Plus 10.3 mm inline plug 2.0 generation non-EMI straight plug connector features a quick connect and locking system. It is ideal for applications using battery and control boxes that require a 360A power connector, as well as in electric vehicles, hybrid electric and EV within the heavy equipment market, and is a reliable alternative to compression lugs. SurLok Plus 5.7mm (1000VDC) rated to 120A and 8.0mm (1500VDC) rated to 200A 2.5 generation, non-EMI right angle connectors are designed for high power application connections in the energy storage market. These connectors feature anti-mis-insertion (Pokayoke), anti-incorrect installation, anti-water, and a 360° rotation after mating. SurLok Plus 14.0 mm EMI right angle connector, with a voltage range of 1500VDC, provides EMI shielding and HVIL option, temperature range -40 °C – 140 °C, is ideal for use in energy storage systems, electric vehicles, battery solutions, fuel cells, and industrial applications. This field-installable connector is an environmentally friendly and reliable alternative to common compression lugs. It can be used in DC/DC and AC/DC power transfers.

Adam Tech’s ESF/ESM Series Energy Storage ConnectorsAdam Tech’s ESF/ESM Series Energy Storage Connectors provide a critical link between battery modules. This link ensures safe and reliable connections in energy storage systems, such as electric vehicle charging, renewable energy devices, and industrial and consumer energy storage. Belden Inc. announced new products designed for secure, high-quality performance in critical applications, including three new products for data acquisition and transmission, and three for data orchestration and management. For the former, Belden LSZH (low-smoke, zero-halogen) Cca-Rated OSDP (Open Supervised Device Protocol) cables comply with European Commission standards and meet criteria for flame spread, heat release, and smoke production. Belden NewGen Multi-Conductor & Pair LSZH cable portfolio includes products with enhanced flame ratings that comply with European Construction Products Regulation (CPR) guidelines. Belden EN/IEC-rated classics/electronics portfolio now includes LSZH jacketed paired and multi-conductor cables that provide enhanced resistance to fire to meet European CPR guidelines. For the latter, Belden PROVIZE Suite offers new features, including network planning with Belden BOBCAT and GREYHOUND switches, subnet, and MRP sub-ring configuration, and CLI export and template stacking capabilities. Hirschmann EAGLE40-4F Industrial Firewalls provide deep packet inspection and advanced cybersecurity, ideal for protecting critical industrial applications. ProSoft Technology FOUNDATION Fieldbus FF Links allow users to connect foundation fieldbus (FF) H1 devices to an EtherNet/IP controller (as a target or originator). They can also be used to transfer FF device data using the Modbus TCP protocol to a Modbus client or server.

Fischer Core Brass Series features 9 pins in Ø 15.5 mm (size 1031 plug) and is resistant to chemicals and sterilization processes. The ultra-miniature, high-density Fischer MiniMax Series features 9 pins in Ø 12.9 mm (size 08 plug) or 12 signal and power pins in Ø 14.9 mm (size 10 plug), including high power up to 8A for applications where SWaP (size, weight, and power) is critical, such as miniature body-worn computers and peripherals, high-performance lidars, and high-speed intercom boxes.
