The new Monitoring Case System (MCS) from Phoenix Contact is a flexible housing series designed for sensor, IoT, and IIoT applications. The wall-, pole-, and DIN rail-mountable enclosure allows fast and easy PCB installation, mounting, and maintenance. IP65 and IP67 variants protect electronics in harsh environments, while a more affordable IP40-rated option is available for less demanding applications. An IK07 rating ensures the housings can withstand a 2-joule impact from 20 centimeters high. With its angled, clamshell housing edge design, the MCS can accommodate PCBs in either or both half-shells to increase board capacity and facilitate multiple connection directions. Optional hinges make device installation and maintenance more convenient. Once the hinges are installed, the housing fans open. The cover remains connected, while the technician’s hands stay free. This reduces the chance of dropping expensive electronics during maintenance.
Binder now offers M8-D-coded connectors featuring single wires in response to increasing customer demand. This new variant allows users to customize wiring to their specific needs, delivering improved transmission performance, particularly for applications like the Profinet standard. With binder’s existing M8-D portfolio already featuring overmolded cables, field-attachable connectors, and panel mount connectors with solder contacts, this new product is a natural progression in expanding the lineup. Factory-supplied untwisted single wires offer versatile, customizable application possibilities. M8-D-coded connectors are ideal for industrial communication and enable reliable signal and data transmission in machines and systems. In factory automation, they play a crucial role in networking devices and ensuring secure data transmission and logging. These solutions are also used in transportation and logistics systems, such as connecting sensors and controllers in conveyor systems or controlling and monitoring transport vehicles. They are applied in the energy sector, such as in wind power plants, and in medical technology, where they connect devices and sensors in diagnostic and therapeutic systems.
Mouser Electronics launched more than 8,000 new part numbers ready for shipment last quarter. Some of the products include the STMicroelectronics STM32MP257F-DK Discovery Kit, an evaluation and prototyping platform for STMicroelectronics‘ STM32MP25 microprocessors; NXP Semiconductors TJA1465 and TJA1466 High-Speed CAN SIC Transceivers that support high-speed classical controller area network (CAN) and CAN with flexible data rate (CAN FD) protocols; Cree LED XLamp XP-L Photo Red S-Line LEDs, optimized for high-performance applications in greenhouses, vertical farms, and other large-scale growing operations; and Sensirion SGD4x A2L Refrigerant Sensors based on Sensirion’s patented CMOSens sensor technology, which combines the sensor element, signal processing and digital calibration on a single, all-solid-state silicon CMOS chip. Hirose Electric’s FH79 Series is one of the industry’s smallest back-flip FPC connectors for automotive and other harsh environment applications. With a low-profile of 1.2 mm and a space-saving 0.3 mm pitch (0.6 mm mounting pitch), the FH79 Series offers a reduction in width of approximately 40% compared to standard 0.5 mm pitch connectors. The high-density connector utilizes a dual contact system (top and bottom contacts), and a staggered contact array design maximizes space efficiency The FH79 Series is heat resistant up to 125 ℃. The back-flip design provides high contact reliability, preventing actuator opening with upward FPC routing. The FH79 Series is commonly used in automotive entertainment, robotics/factory automation, lidar, and sensing cameras, ensuring stable, high-speed connectivity.

Amphenol RF introduced the new SMA to SMA plug RG-188 cable assembly. The white-colored RG-188 coaxial cables provide a balance of flexibility and performance for high-frequency signal transmission in space-constrained areas. RG-188 cable resists temperatures of up to 205 °C, is pliable, and has increased shielding effectiveness compared to other cable types. Straight-to-straight, right-angle to right-angle, and right-angle to straight plug configurations are available, ensuring compatibility for any design requirement. The SMA to SMA RG-188 cable assembly is well-suited for wireless communication systems, aerospace & defense, industrial automation, and autonomous mining. Amphenol RF also expanded its locking cable assembly portfolio with configurations utilizing high-frequency SMA connectors. The secure locking feature of the locking connector on these cable assemblies increases the necessary force required to de-mate the connector, making them ideal for strenuous applications that undergo continuous movement or vibrations. The 1.13 mm cabling used on these assemblies is easily routable, and comes in pre-configured lengths of 50 mm to 400 mm.
Pasternack, an Infinite Electronics brand, launched its first line of fiber optic cable assemblies for telecommunications, data centers, military and aerospace, and other markets demanding high-speed, high-reliability connectivity solutions. The initial custom and fiber cable assemblies, the first in a series, include both simplex and duplex cables with LC, SC, ST, and FC connectors. Later this year, Pasternack will launch multifiber breakout cable assemblies in 4-, 6-, 8- and 12-fiber configurations, as well as a custom Online Cable Configurator. Future fiber optic products will feature single mode and multimode cables, with multi-fiber push on (MPO), Mil-Tac and IP68, and very small form factor (VSFF) connector options.

DMC’s latest advancement in heavy-duty pneumatic crimp tools, the WA23B, offers significant improvements over its predecessor, the WA23, and outperforms other similar products. The new and improved WA23B completes a full cycle 8-indent crimp in just 1.4 seconds, making it more than twice as fast as the previous model and faster than other similar products. Lighter and smaller, it is easier to handle and store. The new dedicated gaging state simplifies calibration, while the ergonomically designed handle and push button offer enhanced comfort during prolonged use. Like the previous model, the WA23B is capable of crimping machined contacts, uninsulated terminals, and uninsulated splices between 8-4/0 AWG. Both tools utilize interchangeable 23 type dies and locators, many of which meet stringent AS22520/23 standards for military-grade applications. Consistent with the prior model, the cycle control feature eliminates the possibility of incomplete and faulty crimps. Both tools depend on a single power supply.
