Connector Suppliers Recognized at Electronics Industry Awards
Honors went to several Connector Supplier preferred suppliers this year.
Electronics Industry Awards attendees were treated to a black-tie evening of excitement, networking, and celebration, in recognition of the outstanding businesses, products, and people from the electronics sector. The event took place October 24, at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden, London. Several of our preferred suppliers were honored this year.
Smiths Interconnect was recognized as a “Highly Commended” recipient for the Aerospace Military Defense Product of the Year category for its groundbreaking Resistive Power Dividers, a product celebrated for its innovative design, superior performance, and advanced technical capabilities. In addition, Smiths Interconnect was a finalist in three categories. Its NXS Series Connectors and Resistive Power Dividers were both recognized in the Aerospace Military Defense Product of the Year category, while its D04 Connectors were a finalist for both the Interconnection Product of the Year and Medical Product of the Year categories.
Molex’s MX-DaSH Data-Signal Hybrid Connector Portfolio, introduced in May, received the Automotive Product of the Year & Interconnection Product of the Year. “The complete MX-DaSH portfolio enables automotive designers to reimagine vehicle electronics by integrating power and high-speed data transmissions within a single connector system to achieve major savings in size, space, cost, and labor. Our holistic approach lets designers mix and match different types of terminals, offering greater freedom and flexibility to support zonal architectures and simplify wiring harnesses,” said Greg Everly, director, new product introduction for Molex, Transportation Innovative Solutions (TIS). Ryan Price, director of strategic marketing at Molex added, “MX-DaSH exemplifies automotive innovation by seamlessly integrating high-speed data, signal, and power into a single modular connector system, effectively replacing multiple traditional connectors in vehicle applications.”
Rounding out the Product Categories, Phoenix Contact was recognized as Highly Commended in the Enclosure Product of the Year category for its Monitoring Case System and binder’s Snap-In male cable connector, contacts: 3, 3.5-5.0 mm, unshielded, solder, IP67 was Highly Commended in the Medical Product of the Year category. “We are honored that our Snap-In IP67 for medical applications received this recognition – a testament to our innovation and dedication to exceptional quality. Featuring an effective snap-in mechanism and an IP67 protection rating, the product ensures outstanding reliability, ease of use, and safety in critical applications,” said Jana Wagner, product manager from binder.
In the Business Categories, Mouser Electronics in collaboration with Molex won for Academic Support and DigiKey won Distributor of the Year.
