Application materials

RS WarriorWrap Specialty Tape

RS WarriorWrap Specialty Tape is designed to meet the exacting requirements and the demanding environments of electrical construction, providing the confidence that every residential or commercial application can be wrapped up right. Made of 7mil thick PVC with a rubber-based adhesive, WarriorWrap 732 Premium tape is rated as primary insulation for circuits of up to 600 volts. Features include superior adhesion and elasticity; extreme weather performance; excellent tensile strength; high resistance to UV, abrasion, and corrosion; flame-retardant; UL Listed and CSA Certified; .75 and 1.5” widths available in black, .75 width available in 11 colors.

Greene Tweed’s Arlon 3000XT

Greene Tweed’s Arlon 3000XT is a proprietary cross-linked PEEK material used for insulators and connectors in extreme, high temperature environments such as downhole oil wells. This material is designed to perform in applications with temperatures ranging from 260 °C to 300 °C. Through in-house testing, Arlon 3000XT mechanical properties (tensile strength, elongation at break, etc.) showed no statistically significant difference at 260 °C and 280 °C, even after fluid aging and constant high temperature for 112 days. When utilized as an insulating material, Arlon 3000XT can protect sensitive electrical connectors from the external environment and are reliable to ensure that connectors maintain a continuous signal. Arlon 3000XT can be near or net molded or injection molded to fit any system.

Indium Corporation supplies solder tubes

Indium Corporation supplies solder tubes to provide a precise, controlled amount of solder for heat-shrink electrical joint termination within solder sleeves. Solder tubes can be customized to meet your heat-shrink solder sleeve requirements and are ideal for a number of applications, including aerospace, radio systems, wire harness, EMI shield to ground termination, and wire-to-wire splicing.

3M Thermally Conductive Interface Tapes from TTI Inc

3M Thermally Conductive Interface Tapes from TTI Inc. are engineered to provide efficient and cost effective thermal transfer when bonding heat sinks, heat spreaders, and other cooling devices to IC packages, power transistors, and other heat-generating components. To deliver consistent reliability and performance, these devices need thermal management materials that stand up to a lifetime of heat. Each tape combines high performance acrylic adhesive with highly conductive particles for reliable thermal interface. They apply quickly and easily with high conformability for excellent wet-out on surfaces. Choose from a variety of tape thicknesses and single and double-sided options for the right solution for your specific application.

Materion’s Alloy 25 copper-beryllium strip

Materion’s Alloy 25 copper-beryllium strip offers high strength and electrical and thermal conductivity considerably greater than other copper alloys. Since it is heat treated after forming, it provides excellent formability and ductility. This alloy features good stress relaxation resistance and high fatigue strength. Typical applications include electrical contacts in connectors, computer processor socket contacts, electromagnetic shielding gaskets, pressure sensor bellows and burn-in and test socket contacts.
