What are MIL-DTL-83723 Connectors?
MIL-DTL-83723 circular connectors provide reliable electrical connections and environmental resistance in challenging conditions, making them well-suited to aerospace applications.
Meet the Connector: MIL-DTL-83723 Connectors
MIL-DTL-83723 circular connectors provide reliable electrical connections and environmental resistance in challenging conditions, such as high vibration and extreme temperatures. Their durable construction and high temperature resistance makes them well suited for use in aerospace and other harsh environments. These connectors have environmental sealing or, in some cases, hermetic sealing for extreme conditions.

TE’s MIL-DTL-83723 Standard Series III family offers connectors with bayonet and threaded coupling, including lanyard-release quick-disconnects. They are intermateable with both bayonet and threaded MIL-DTL-26500 Standard connectors and have added security provided by the rear-release contact retention system.
Design Notes
Standards: MIL-DTL-83723 supersedes MIL-C-83723
Mounting type or types: panel mount, box mount, line-to-line
Coupling styles: bayonet, threaded, quick-disconnect

Matrix MIL-DTL-83723 series from Amphenol Aerospace provides many options within the range of a medium-sized, environmentally resistant circular connector. Three coupling style choices (bayonet, threaded and quick-disconnect) make this series popular for panel mount, box mount, and line-to-line applications in aircraft.
Material specifications: Aluminum shells with black anodized, cadmium, or electroless nickel finish options; passivated stainless-steel shells are also available

This Conesys M83723 connector (Series III), available from PEI-Genesis, is offered in either a bayonet coupling or threaded coupling design, including lanyard-release quick-disconnects. Bayonet-coupling plugs are available with or without RFI grounding and threaded-coupling plugs are available with or without RFI grounding and self-locking.
Specific variations of the MIl-DTL-83723 are available that meet Boeing, General Electric, Rolls Royce, Airbus, and other European specifications.
