2023 Top Five European Connector Companies for On-Time Delivery and Technical Support and Expertise

The results are in for the 2023 Bishop & Associates European Customer Satisfaction Survey of the Electronic Connector Industry. We reveal the top five European connector companies for on-time delivery, technical support, and expertise.

Bishop & Associates has completed its 2023 European Customer Satisfaction Survey of the Electronic Connector Industry, which evaluated 17 connector manufacturers. A total of 280 customers answered 17 questions relating to important issues such as quality, pricing, delivery, lead times, technical support, and other factors to determine the top five European connector companies.

The distribution of responses by sales channel and job function is shown in the following chart:

Survey participants were asked to evaluate the percentage of the time these companies provide on-time delivery using the following numerical scale:

5 = 95–100
4 = 90–94
3 = 80–89
2 = 70–79
1 = <70

Highlights:

Samtec, ept, and Yamaichi Electronics placed first, second, and third, respectively, for on-time delivery in the 2023 European Customer Satisfaction Survey.
Three of the companies in the top five for on-time Delivery are based in Europe.

Highlights:

Samtec placed first or second in the on-time delivery category in the last five surveys conducted.
ept earned a nice increase in its on-time delivery ranking from customers, moving from 10^th place in 2019 to 2^nd place in 2023.
Yamaichi has ranked in the top five in three of the past five surveys.
Rosenberger showed the highest increase in rank, moving from 20^th place in 2019 to 4^th place in 2023.
WAGO has held a top five rank in each of the last five surveys.

Technical Support and Expertise

Highlights:

Samtec, ept, and Yamaichi placed first, second, and third, respectively, in the 2023 European Customer Satisfaction Survey.
One of the highest industry average scores was recorded for this category. The industry average score for technical support and expertise was 4.565 and ranked third after product quality (4.772) and product samples (4.569) This indicates a very high level of customer satisfaction with overall connector product quality and technical expertise.

Rank in the Past Five Surveys

Highlights:

ept and Samtec jockeyed for first or second position in the technical support and expertise category in four of the last five surveys, spanning 2013 to 2023.
Phoenix Contact placed in the top 10 in the past five European Customer Satisfaction Surveys.
Weidmüller had significant improvement in technical support and expertise, moving from 18^th place in 2019 to 4^th place in 2023.
Yamaichi is in the top five for both the 2019 and 2023 surveys.
