USCAR Connectors Product Roundup
This week’s Product Roundup highlights USCAR connectors from leading connector manufacturers and suppliers.
USCAR connectors
Avnet’s Mini50 receptacles from Molex achieve 50% space savings over traditional USCAR 0.64 mm connectors. These single- and dual-row receptacles have smaller terminals to fit more low-current electrical circuits in interior vehicle environments.
FlexFast FPC-to-board connector from Amphenol Communications Solutions has a compact design to address the growing demand for the automotive application market. The connector design is compliant to USCAR-T3V2 and LV-214 S1 specifications. The connector has nominal current carrying capacity of 1A per contact. FlexFast has a 1.80 mm pitch and is available in 40 positions, single flex, with right-angle SMT configuration. Gold plating reduces mating force. It offers optional position and pitch, CPA (connector position assurance), FPA (flex position assurance), FPC and FFC in compatibility, and double beams and contacts. It is scoop-proof and has a low height of 8.0 mm max.
The MX80 Series from JAE is a family of compact waterproof automotive in-line connectors. They are miniaturized by design and ideal for use in areas where vehicle mounting space is limited. MX80 Series connectors support a varying wire size range for exceptional power and control. In addition, an IPX9K type is available for four positions. MX80 is USCAR-2 and LV214 tested and features terminal position assurance (TPA) on pin and socket housing.
ept builds to your design while guaranteeing a high-performance, reliable result. Request any custom connectivity solution – from power pins to custom-molded connectors – with the assurance that ept’s products will be compatible with all current USCAR specifications. In addition, ept’s unique T-Com pin has repeatedly been rated as one of the top press-fit technologies available in the industry, providing an unmatched secure connection as well as cost-saving and time-saving capabilities. ept’s One27 1.27 mm SMT connectors have recently passed LV214 testing, a strict automotive testing and applicable to USCAR specifications.
The USCAR-approved Bosch MicroFlex connector available from Chief Enterprises, the sole North American distributor of Bosch Connector Systems, features a compact design with 0.5 mm pins and integrates with both power and Ethernet ports. It tackles data transmission needs in vehicles, including EVs and autonomous, particularly for safety and security applications. The MicroFlex’s scalable speeds, ranging from 1 Mb/s to 100 Mb/s, ensure adaptability for future needs. Its open interface allows for various configurations and works with both sealed and unsealed connectors.
