Modular Heavy-Duty Rectangular Connectors
The Han-Modular series supplied by Allied Electronics and Automation is designed for combining different transmission media in one connector. The multifaceted system of inserts, contacts, frames, hoods, and housings as well as accessories fulfills individual customer requirements. Customers can choose from more than 100 different modules that are suitable for different transmission media and cover various termination techniques. The patented Han-Modular hinged frame enables the configuration of all modules in the well-accepted Han hoods and housings.
Weidmüller’s complementary modules for RockStar ModuPlug integrate many different functions in the smallest space, even in harsh industrial applications. Weidmüller has added around 20 new modules to the RockStar ModuPlug portfolio to expand the range of applications. Benefits include proven applications such as control cabinet wall bushings or slide-in solutions, new products also for connecting pneumatic hoses or cables until 2.9KV, innovative push in connection technology, housings with two entries, and coaxial contacts.
OPTIMUS / EN4165 connector from Nicomatic is modular and waterproof, meeting the EMI requirements of this standard. More compact and lightweight than its circular equivalent, D38999, the EN4165 is the solution of choice to get out of the box and connect systems subjected to the most severe environments. It is stackable, suitable for panels or backplanes, ultra-modular with an almost unlimited range of contacts. EN4165 is intermixable and interchangeable with existing solutions for increased design simplicity. Developed and therefore recognized in the civil aeronautics sector, the relevance of these solutions goes beyond this market and allows Nicomatic to offer standardized connectors adapted by their performance to the military and railway markets, among many others.
HDC series, a product from Huafeng Smiths Interconnect, is a standard, heavy duty, modular connector series that conforms to IEC60664 and IEC61984 standards. Through the combination of different modules selected by the designer, the connector can handle different signal types such as power, signal, and data, without the need for separate connections. This flexibility makes the HDC series suitable for the electrical, optical, radio frequency, high-voltage, high-current, high-speed transmission for rail transportation, heavy machinery, wind energy, power systems, and photovoltaic and engineering equipment industries.
The KN01 Series from JAE is a large yet lightweight and high-density waterproof rectangular connector. Molex GWconnect Heavy Duty Connectors (HDC) supplied by TTI Inc. are designed for heavy-duty industrial applications. The connectors are suitable for use with AC or DC and facilitate the manufacturing process, installation, and maintenance of sectional electric parts in complex machinery. These heavy-duty connector enclosures are suitable for various industrial installations in standard, harsh, and EMC environments. The inserts in self-extinguishing thermoplastic material UL94V0 are available with screw terminals, screw terminals with terminal block, spring terminals, crimp terminals, and push-in terminals. Cinch’s C-ENX line of connectors designed to EN4644 is the next generation aerospace connector. C-ENX connectors allow optimized stacking of connectors and thereby reduce space compared to circular connectors. They are also modular which reduces rework and complexity because the same panel cutout is used on all variations and the same shell cavities for all inserts. Configurations are available for signal, power, data, RF, fiber. C-ENX connectors are comprised of an outer protective shell, sealed inserts, machined contacts, and backshells where required. Shells are available for disconnect and rack and panel applications. Shells are made from aluminum or nickel-plated composite. Disconnects for harnesses connecting to panels and rack and panel for panel-to-panel connections. Inserts position the contacts, prevent electrical shortages, and provide an environmental seal against corrosive fluids. The contacts are available for crimping and soldering to PCBs. Backshells are available for strain relief and EMI protection.
