REP series from Smiths Interconnect is designed for quick and easy mating. The REP panel and cable connectors are a simple, reliable, and highly cost-effective interconnect system for rail applications. A full plastic solution offered in either wire attachment or PCB mounting options provides rapid assembly installation without requiring additional mounting hardware. Cable receptacle connectors are available to mate with the cable plug connectors for cable-to-cable solutions when needed. The series is qualified to French and European rail standards. The connectors are available as one overmolded plastic part to save assembly time.
Kensington Electronics supplies Modular Power Connectors (MPC) from Staubli that can be used in every rolling stock, including regional trains, high speed trains, metros, and locomotives, and all on-board power applications for inter-car connection on the roof or under the cars, traction converter and battery outputs, body to bogie, and motor connections. Thanks to the unique MULTILAM Technology, these Modular Power Connectors guarantee high lifetime and reliability in applications with the most demanding requirements. They feature modularity through several configurations; high resistance to vibration, shock, and impact; compact solutions; and easy and fast assembly and maintenance. MPCs are suitable for harsh environments.
Veam CIR & FRCIR from ITT Cannon are cost-effective, highly engineered industrial circular connectors ideal for exterior exposure and transportation applications. This broad series of connectors is available in 256 different layouts and with a wide range of accessories. Shell material options include aluminum alloy, stainless steel, and marine bronze. Veam CIR & FRCIR connectors feature fast and reliable mating and un-mating (2,000 matings minimum). They are flame retardant with low smoke emissions.
