Avnet supplies Amphenol’s Star-Line EX Series, a hybrid form of the parent Star-Line product line. The series is certified for use in a Zone 1 hazardous environment. Classified facilities such as petrochemical refineries and land/offshore drilling systems are but a few of the applications for this broad product series. Amphenol explosion-proof connector series Amphe-EX from PEI-Genesis is ATEX and IECex-approved for Zone 1-rated (Europe) (IECex 60079). Amphenol Amphe-EX are the only EX explosion-proof hazardous area threaded connectors that allow a signal to pass through Zone-rated areas using copper, coax, and fiber optic contacts in one product.
