Schaltbau expanded its Eddicy lineup with a series of compact, high-performance contactors designed to meet the requirements of stationary and mobile megawatt charging level 2 and level 3. The new contactors C305 and C805 support the current megawatt charging system (MCS) level 2 of 1,500 A. The C330 and C830 contactors are 3,000 A bi-directional contactors designed to enable MCS level 3 high-power DC charging. All four products feature a compact, open-isolation concept which prevents rupture even under the heaviest failure conditions and heavy short-circuit currents, preventing damage to surrounding components. The contactors can withstand a short-time current of up to 15,000 A for five milliseconds without the contacts welding, significantly enhancing system safety. With separate contact systems for switching and current carrying, the series stands out for its exceptional longevity.
Hirose added the TB4 Series to its USCAR-2 compliant FPC/FFC-to-board connector offering. This 1 mm pitch version simplifies the assembly process while reducing the size, weight, and cost of the system. Traditional harness processes, such as soldering and crimping, are complex and time consuming. Each pin requires its own contact and wire preparation, and the insertion of contacts must be done pin by pin. The wire count directly contributes to an increase in overall weight, and additional space is needed for wire routing and bending radius. The two-piece TB4 Series features an easy harness process that accelerates assembly and the manufacturing process. Simply insert the FPC/FFC into the plug housing and then attach the retainer. The plug side requires no additional contacts. A two-point contact design ensures high contact reliability and protects against dust intrusion. The design also ensures user safety with electric shock prevention and mis-insertion protection. The TB4 Series supports two key code types (black, gray) for secure and error-free connections. Designed to withstand severe vibration and high temperatures up to 125 °C, the TB4 Series FPC/FFC connector is commonly used in automotive battery systems, construction equipment, and agriculture machinery. Hirose also introduced the KM32A Series automotive wire-to-board connector that meets the GMW3191 standard for low-voltage automotive applications and the ADM-F-0006 vibration test standard to ensure reliability and durability in harsh environments. Featuring a unique contact spring structure for vibration resistance and a rugged center lock that prevents mismating, the KM32A Series offers a tensile/pry strength of up to 75N and provides heat resistance up to 125 °C.
binder’s new M12 L- and T-coded connectors are engineered with stainless steel locking mechanisms to ensure maximum reliability and durability in demanding industrial environments. The 813 (T-coded) and 823 (L-coded) series field-attachable M12 connectors feature a high-strength stainless steel locking system, IP67-rated protection against dust and water, and a mechanical service life of over 100 mating cycles. The 813 series has a 4-pole configuration, while the 823 series offers options for both 4-pole and 4+FE (functional earth) configurations. Both series are designed to accommodate cable diameters between 6 mm and 13 mm. In addition, they deliver outstanding thermal performance, ensuring reliable operation across a broad temperature range from -40 °C to +105 °C. This combination of durability, flexibility, and high performance makes them perfectly suited for today’s demanding industrial applications. Meeting the increasing demands of Industry 4.0 applications, these connectors provide a cost-effective and dependable solution for secure signal, data, and power transmission.

Mill-Max Manufacturing Corp. introduced discrete pre-wired spring-loaded and target pins in six unique styles. These wired pins are suitable for use in cable assemblies, pigtail wired devices, battery connections for chargers, and many other applications where a wire terminated, spring-loaded connection is required. The introduction of discrete pre-wired pins is an addition to the Mill-Max pre-wired single and double row .100” (2.54 mm) pitch spring-loaded and target connectors. The new single pin wired components give designers the freedom to arrange the pins as needed, without the constraints of an off-the-shelf connector. With the task of wire crimping eliminated, manufacturing custom spring-loaded cables, connectors, and other assemblies can be more efficient and cost effective. They are especially useful when adapting cables and connectors to mate with existing systems or for building custom setups for test and development applications. Both the spring-loaded and target pins have press-fit features for mounting into housings, panels, or printed circuit boards and include a shoulder that prohibits pin pull out due to stress on the wires. When assembling into insulators or boards, the wire is fed through the holes of the housing, pulled through until the press-fit feature engages the hole, and then pressed home on the shoulder to anchor the pin. The wires are retained in the pins with a minimum retention of eight pounds using a secure, four-point crimp. UL1007 hook-up wire, 24 AWG, PVC insulation is used for these products. The six offerings include three spring-loaded and three target styles with options for wire color and length.
