DigiKeyDigiKey ranked #121 on the Forbes 2023 list of America’s Largest Private Companies. This is the second consecutive year the company has been included on the list. DigiKey experienced record-breaking sales growth, up 80% from 2021 through 2022, and ended 2022 with $5.1 billion in annual sales. The company continues to make investments in more robust and predictive web search functionality, higher inventory levels, and increased automation in its warehouse, which all benefit customers by providing an easy and efficient research, shopping, and delivery experience. This year’s private companies list includes 258 companies, up from 246 last year. Inclusion on the list is based on having $2 billion or more in revenue from the most recent fiscal year. For 85% of list members, that means revenues for calendar 2022. Others have fiscal years that ended as recently as October 2023. DigiKey is one of only nine companies in the Capital Goods category, ranking #4 within the category. The full list can be viewed on the Forbes website. DigiKey has also received the 2023 Governor’s International Trade Award for Large Companies from Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and the Minnesota Trade Office. It is the second time that the company has received this honor.

Phoenix Contact USACentral Penn Business Journal and Lehigh Valley Business have named Phoenix Contact USA one of the Best Places to Work in PA. Phoenix Contact ranked #14 among large businesses. The awards are held in partnership with Best Companies Group. Best Places to Work in PA identifies, recognizes, and honors the best places of employment in Pennsylvania in three categories: small employer (15-99 employees), medium employer (100-249), and large employer (250 or more). To be considered, companies must be a publicly or privately held business, be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity, have a facility in the state of Pennsylvania, have at least 15 full- or part-time employees working in Pennsylvania, and be in business a minimum of one year. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data, and used its expertise to determine the final rankings. The rankings are determined first by evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics, worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation, and second by responses to an employee survey that measures the employee experience, which constitutes 75% of the total score.
