Connectors for Medical Diagnostics Product Roundup
This week’s Product Roundup highlights connectors for medical diagnostics from leading connector manufacturers and suppliers.
Connectors for Medical Diagnostics
PEI-Genesis offers LEMO’s Redel P Series push-pull self-latching connectors featuring a secure mechanical connection with a push-pull self-latching system and an audible click when mated. Standard and reverse gender configurations and multiple mechanical keying options are available to avoid mis-mating.
Souriau’s JMX push-pull connectors, available from Heilind Electronics, offer reliable mating with a push-pull locking mechanism that only requires two fingers to mate/unmate securely with an audible and tactile indicator. The connectors are available in 6 keys and 9 color-identifying codes to avoid incorrect mating. The JMX series is capable of over 2,000 mating cycles and can withstand steam autoclave sterilization per IEC 60601-1. This IP68 rated connector offers protection from fluid ingress and liquid protection in mated or unmated conditions. The waterproof and extreme high-temperature resistance characteristics of the JMX series makes it perfect for applications including medical, instrumentation, and measurement. The plastic, push-pull connectors can also be used in industrial applications requiring a lightweight, yet durable harsh environment interconnect solution.
Nicomatic’s CMM connector offers up to 60% space saving and 50% weight reduction. Its 2 mm pitch supports board-to-board, board-to-wire, and wire-to-wire configurations. This connector is known for its robustness and meets or exceeds the electrical and mechanical performance of MIL-DTL-55302F and BS-9525-F0033 standards. With over 20 million configurations and tailored possibilities, it features extreme modularity (signal, power, and coaxial contacts, 1 to 3 rows, up to 120 pins). It is also available on reels for automated installation. For CMM, Nicomatic offers short lead times (as fast as 1 week) and no minimum order quantity.
EDAC Group’s QUIK-LOQ plastic shell push-pull connectors offer a durable, lightweight solution with secure-quick connect/disconnect functionality. Designed for medical applications, they provide IP50 protection and support up to 14 contacts in a compact form factor. Six different colors are available for ease of use and maintenance in the field.
Adam Tech’s comprehensive line of push-pull connectors consists of metal and plastic connectors, bend reliefs, and elbow sockets. Each product type is offered in a variety of position, mounting, and size options. Specialty waterproof push-pull connectors are also available with ratings of IP67 and IP68. Adam Tech push-pull connectors are ideal for any application requiring easy, secure connections. They feature IP50 dustproof protection, and IP67 and IP68 waterproof protection. They are compatible with many push-pull connectors in the market.
