Molex Finalizes Purchase of FCT Electronics Group
Molex wrapped up the purchase of FCT Electronics Group, the German custom mixed-layout connectors and cable assemblies specialist. The deal, agreed to in August for an undisclosed price, boosts Molex presence in the medical electronics, industrial, telecommunications, and aerospace sectors globally.
For its part, Munich-based FCT Electronics Group expects that Molex’s global sales and distribution presence would help both firms to grow at a faster pace, according to its president for US operations, Dan Schreck.
Active since 1972, the German company has additional manufacturing operations in the Czech Republic, Thailand, and the US.
