Military-grade circular connectors
The JL10 Series from JAE features an adopted one-touch lock mechanism with superior mating and unmating operability for mating function ease. The JL10 receptacle offers a hybrid one-touch lock and threaded dual function mating. The connector offers mating compatibility with conventional MIL standard MS connectors and with JAE’s screw mating plugs (JL04V, N/MS, and JA). On top of the existing solder termination, a crimp termination option has been added to the 18-10 and 22-22 pin arrangement receptacles. The JL10 series of TÜV-approved and UL-recognized, one-touch locking, circular, waterproof connectors for industrial machinery, satisfy European safety standards.
CDM now provides the full range of Amphenol NEXUS Technologies military-spec high-performance 5 and 6 contact MIL-DTL-55116 interconnects and accessories in standard and lightweight versions to support military radios, tactical intercom networks, and rugged-environment communications requirements. PCB back-end and right-angle variants are available for unique or specialty applications. This series encompasses waterproof, polarized plugs and receptacles for use in audio frequency circuits at 60 volts maximum potential and 0.5 amperes maximum current. All connectors are rated at up to 3,000 mating cycles.
Amphenol Series Five connectors from Avnet are a lightweight circular connector solution ideal for ruggedized military and aerospace applications. Series Five connectors feature AS39029-Qualified gold-plated contacts and 38999-qualified insulators while being 20% lighter and 50% smaller than standard 38999 connectors. These Amphenol connectors have a “Diamond Grip” nut design, full metal clip contact retention, and are scoop-proof.
SV Microwave’s high-frequency size 8, 12, and 16 coaxial contacts for D38999 Series III housing and standard inserts offer superior electrical performance and high frequency capability. These contacts allow any application to continue to use the D38999 connector and can expand the use to include the microwave transmission lines. Solutions that adhere to MIL-Spec M39029 are available.
Amphenol’s 97 Series MIL-C-5015 connectors from Powell offers six shell options, 128 contact arrangements, and supports 1 to 52 circuits, along with a wide variety of insert patterns and contact types, including crimp, solder, thermocouple, and PCB (100 suffix). Shell components are fabricated from high grade aluminum alloy to provide strength and environmental protection.
Omnetics Connector Corportion’s nano series of circular connectors are now available with threaded metal housings, giving them a positive lock and environmental seal. These are the smallest MIL-Quality circulars available. With the ability to withstand high shock and vibrations while maintaining electrical integrity, they are ideal for the most demanding applications where size and weight are critical. These connectors can be configured with different levels of waterproof sealing up to IP68. A variety of shell material and finishes are available, including nickel plated brass and black oxide stainless steel. Available in four shell sizes: 6, 11, 16, and 28 positions arranged on a .025” (.64 mm) pitch and capable of 1 amp per contact, they utilize a military quality contact system, making them perfect for mission critical applications where size, weight and reliability are crucial.
