Samtec’s new high-frequency, 50 Ohm impedance, SMA edge-mount board connector delivers repeatable, reliable performance through 26.5 GHz. The edge-mount design terminates directly to the PCB edge, providing a compact signal path that minimizes discontinuities and lowers return loss when compared to vertical or right-angle connectors. Samtec’s 26.5 GHz SMA edge-mount connectors are suitable for 5G/6G wireless infrastructure, Test & Measurement, military, and aerospace applications. They feature a gold-plated body and contact (30 µin center contact, 10 µin outer contact), enabling superior electrical conductivity and durability. Their construction offers corrosion resistance and enables up to 500 mating cycles. The 4-post through-hole design further enhances durability, allowing for greater mechanical reliability when connecting to the board. Now available in production quantities. Samtec’s popular mPOWER ultra micro power interconnect system has expanded. mPOWER vertical board connectors (UMPS, UMPT) and right-angle board connectors (UMPT-RA) are now available with through-hole board termination options, providing enhanced mechanical robustness. Connector designs using surface mount technology are also available.
DigiKey added nearly 31,000 new stocking products available for fast shipment in Q1 2026. In total, over 387,000 new products were added to the DigiKey system, along with 97 new suppliers across its core business, Marketplace, and Fulfilled by DigiKey programs. New supplier additions in Q1 include Grinn and REV Robotics. DigiKey has more new product introductions (NPIs) on its shelves than any other electronics distributor, allowing customers to build the machines and devices that accelerate progress in industries such as healthcare, AI, energy, industrial automation, sustainability, and IoT. Microchip’s veryVerilog, developed in collaboration with DigiKey’s Academic Program, is designed for university and college students entering the world of embedded systems and digital logic.
binder now offers molded, shielded M12 connectors featuring coupling rings that combine knurled surfaces with a hexagonal shape, a thoughtful design upgrade to meet the demands for safe, consistent, and high-quality field assembly. Compared to previous designs, the new geometry enables assembly using tools such as torque wrenches for the first time. This allows users to achieve controlled tightening and benefit from increased process reliability as well as consistently high assembly quality, particularly in applications where defined torque is critical. By integrating a hexagonal feature, the connectors can now be tightened in a controlled manner, meeting common industrial specifications. While the combination of knurling and hexagon is already established for unshielded versions, it is now extended to shielded M12 connectors across binder’s portfolio. The result is a uniform design across different variants, a clear advantage for design engineers, installers, and maintenance teams.
KYOCERA AVX added new high-temperature, automotive-grade multilayer varistors (MLVs), engineered for 48V power supply systems, to its proven TransGuard VT Series. The new MLVs are zinc-oxide-based (ZnO-based) ceramic semiconductor devices that combine extremely reliable bidirectional overvoltage protection and EMI/RFI attenuation capabilities in compact, SMT packages that reduce the need for discrete MLCCs, providing savings on BOM cost and board space. These transient voltage suppression (TVS) devices support operating temperatures from -55 °C to +175 °C with zero derating across the entire range and are qualified to AEC-Q200, IEC 61000-4-2, and ISO 10605. They exhibit high current and energy handling capabilities, multi-strike capabilities, and low leakage. They feature the highest human-body model (HBM) electrostatic discharge (ESD) classification (Class 6), which means they can reliably withstand over 25,000V of ESD, and the lowest moisture sensitivity level MSL 1, which means they have an unlimited floor life under the specified conditions, don’t require any special dry packing or handling procedures, and don’t need to be baked before reflow soldering. Ideal applications for TransGuard VT Series MLVs include protecting high-temperature automotive, industrial, and transportation applications from ESD, load dumps, and voltage spikes caused by AC and DC motors, engines, radiators, relays, jump starts, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and downhole drilling.
Bel Fuse launched the SWI6D and SMI6D series of 5W to 6W external power supplies in the CUI portfolio. They’re available in both fixed wall plug and interchangeable wall plug models. These versatile adapters are engineered to meet the standard requirements of information technology equipment (ITE) and consumer applications worldwide. The SWI6D and SMI6D series prioritize energy efficiency and device protection. They feature ultra-low no-load power consumption (<0.1W), which lowers operating temperatures, extends adapter life, improves system reliability, and reduces total costs. The over-current and short-circuit protection keep connected devices safe from electrical issues, reducing the risk of damage and failure. Designed for worldwide use, these adapters offer global compatibility with a universal input voltage range of 90 to 264 VAC, ensuring they work seamlessly with power outlets anywhere. The fixed blade adapters (SWI6D, SWI6AD) are available with US, EU, and UK blades, while the interchangeable models (SMI6D, SMI6AD) feature a variety of regional adapters (NA, EU, UK, AU, CN) for global compatibility. To provide maximum flexibility, the series includes both corded and USB-A inlet options, accommodating a wide range of devices. There will be additional stocking units with USB-C plugs to accommodate global standardization.
Hirose’s IT18 Series is an officially licensed COM-HPC Standard Compatible BGA mezzanine connector supporting PCIe Gen5 (32GT/s), Gen6 (64GT/s PAM4), and 100Gb Ethernet (4×25Gb). The IT18 Series BGA mezzanine connector features an ultra-high-density pin count of 400 positions in a 0.635 mm pitch to deliver high-speed transmission in a low-profile. Stacking heights include 5 mm and 10 mm. It has an optimized footprint with adequate routing and column spacing for excellent crosstalk suppression, including far-end crosstalk (FEXT) cancellation technology. The open-field design (open pin-field grid array) is adaptable to various layouts. Because pins are not locked into a fixed pattern, customers can route signals, grounds, and power to improve density and performance. This flexibility also helps with signal integrity optimization. The rugged IT18 Series connector utilizes a metal cap to reduce warpage and protect contacts from flux. The cap minimizes reflow defects by suppressing deformation during heating and protecting against foreign particles from the surroundings. A large guide ensures proper mating, and retention tabs prevent cracks to solder balls. The connector design also offers highly reliable soldering using the pin-in-ball method.
Samtec Inc. expanded its SMPM cable-to-board Precision RF connector family to include small-form-factor threaded cable-to-board mated sets. Featuring a threaded SMPM MIL-STD-348 interface with retractable threaded coupling nut, these new connector assemblies are available immediately in volume and are well-suited for use in high-vibration environments such as military, aerospace, and communication applications. High-vibration environments can exceed the retention capabilities of traditional push-on RF interconnects. Designed with enhanced mechanical strength that provides a secure, robust connection, Samtec’s threaded SMPM cable-to-board mated connector sets include the RF047-A and RF086 millimeter-wave, low-loss cable assembly families. They handle up to 67 GHz and are available as SMPMT threaded, SMPM millimeter-wave board-mount plugs, available up to 60 GHz.
Canfield Connector’s GTT Series GatorMate J1939 CAN Bus Terminators provide reliable termination for rugged mobile, heavy-equipment, and industrial CAN bus applications. Built on Canfield Connector’s proven GT Deutsch Style connector platform, the GTT Series features a factory-encapsulated 120 Ohm resistor for precise termination of the main CAN backbone in accordance with SAE J1939 standards. The design helps support reliable communication performance in demanding environments where vibration, shock, moisture, and field exposure can affect connection integrity. The GTT Series is available in 2, 3, and 4 pin plug or receptacle configurations, giving OEMs, equipment builders, and system designers flexible options for their specific CAN bus architecture. A bayonet push/lock mechanism provides a secure snap-fit connection, while color-coded locking wedges help ensure proper keying during installation.

Taoglas GVLB208 Series, an active and passive dual-band GNSS L1/L5 stacked patch antenna, is the first in a new family of ultra-compact antennas. Combining one of the smallest packages available with concurrent L1/L5 support and stable right-hand circular polarization (RHCP), these antennas deliver reliable centimeter-level positioning in a compact 20 x 20 x 8 mm footprint. Designed for applications that require high-precision positioning in a compact form factor, its ultra-compact size, dual-band support, and circular polarization improve positioning performance without increasing device footprint. The new antennas address this challenge with a single-feed stacked patch design that supports concurrent L1 and L5 GNSS bands. By leveraging dual-band operation, they significantly reduce the impact of multipath interference, enabling more reliable positioning and improved accuracy in complex RF environments. Taoglas plans to expand the GVLB208 family later this year with an active SMD variant with integrated active electronic components, designed for automated high-volume manufacturing.

The B300 Series stripping machines from Schleuniger feature automatic conductor detection (ACD) and adaptive incision control (AIC) to reduce the amount of manual intervention and programming required, simplify operation, enhance process stability, and help prevent scrap and rework. The combination of AIC and ACD ensures unique quality control, with AIC determining the cutting depth and ACD monitoring the stripping process. With ACD, the system monitors every cut and strip and immediately signals if the inner conductor is touched or the maximum permissible cutting depth has been reached. It also detects all deviations in the process, ensuring continuous quality monitoring, even with challenging wires. The optional AIC enhances the process with an intelligent automation of the machine configuration: The wire is programmed in automatic teach mode, eliminating the need for manual programming when switching between wire types. In addition, the machine continuously adjusts its parameters and compensates for wire diameter tolerances. The result is minimal training requirements and reduced workload, improved production efficiency and significantly less scrap, consistent results, and uniform quality even with fluctuating raw material quality, right from the very first cut after the system is activated.

Ironwood Electronics offers a dual cavity burn-in socket for power modules with multiple spring pins per device pad to accommodate current draw. It also features gold plated copper compression heat sink for removing heat. These sockets are mounted on a daughter card which gets plugged into the motherboard for burn-in test.
