Composite Cables Product Roundup
This week’s Product Roundup highlights composite cables from leading connector manufacturers and suppliers.
Composite Cables
Amphenol CIT has developed composite insulated cables to combat the limitations associated with polyimide and XL-ETFE and improve upon existing airframe wire designs. These composite cables offer weight and space savings without sacrificing the mechanical and thermal performance of the wire. Amphenol CIT’s Tufflite and Seamless cables address the need for a small, lightweight, arc-resistant, general-purpose wire rated to 260 °C.
Axon’ custom design hybrid cables are flat or round composite cables made with different kinds of cable elements, including electrical wires or tubes. Axon’ hybrid cables withstand the harshest environments. They can be insulated with high performance insulating materials, including fluorinated materials, halogen-free materials, or materials able to resist radiation or chemicals. To adapt to the needs of its customers, Axon’ hybrid cables resist severe operating conditions, including flexing, torsion, vibration, shock, high temperature, sterilization, fire, and electromagnetic interference. Axon’ can also provide long length cables for automated production lines.
