Last quarter, Mouser launched more than 5,000 part numbers ready for shipment. The April through June product release includes hybrid connectors for energy storage from Phoenix Contact that combine power and signal interfaces into an all-in-one solution for energy storage applications. These connectors provide a reliable and safe connection for power and signal contacts, a preassembled interface for time savings, and a safe connection to compensate for manufacturing and mounting tolerances. Other notable product launches include Renesas Electronics RX14T motor control microcontrollers, the Microchip Technology PIC16F13276 Curiosity Nano Evaluation Kit, and the DFRobot SEN0691 Fermion C4002 mmWave human presence sensor.

The new 1.85 mm 30° angled launch board connector (185-AL Series) from Samtec Inc. delivers precision RF performance through 67 GHz while solving common mechanical and routing challenges found in dense, millimeter wave lab test and evaluation environments. Modern RF and high-speed digital test boards often face tight mechanical constraints that make cable routing difficult or unreliable. The 30° angled launch geometry of the Samtec 185-AL Series allows coaxial cables to exit the PCB in a natural direction, significantly reducing sharp bends that can degrade electrical stability. The solderless, compression mount design enables field replaceable functionality. Eliminating the need for solder reflow enables rapid connect/disconnect to the printed circuit board, significantly reducing downtime and allowing connector reuse. It also removes performance variability that can occur with solder, enabling repeatable precision millimeter wave performance. Threaded coupling provides high mechanical reliability. Mating interconnects include Samtec’s high-performance microwave cable assemblies, such as .047” diameter RF047-A Series cable, .086” diameter RF086 Series cable, and stable during flexure Nitrowave^® LL071 Series cable. Mechanical stress when bending or twisting can change the dielectric’s properties and alter performance, with effects more pronounced at higher frequencies. Nitrowave cable’s optimized cable construction, which includes a Dynamic Performance Layer, protects from measurement errors that can occur due to flexure.

Hirose launched the BK35 series, a hybrid FPC-to-board connector with a fully shielded design that blocks radiation and incident magnetic fields for clear and reliable signal transmission. The compact BK35 series supports high-speed data transmission up to 40 Gb/s and superior RF signal transmission up to 40 Ghz. Featuring a 0.35 mm pitch, 2.2 mm depth, and 0.6 mm stacking height, the BK35 series is designed for space-constrained environments that are radiation/EMI-sensitive, including smartphones, tablets, and notebook PCs, wearable devices, and other compact electronic systems. The BK35 Series’ hybrid design combines power and signal contacts, reducing the number of connectors required on a printed circuit board and offering additional space and cost savings. With four power contacts rated at 2.5A each, the BK35 Series delivers reliable power. BK35 has a robust, fully armored design for enhanced reliability and durability in demanding environments. The armor also protects against housing damage from misalignment during mating. The FPC-to-board connector delivers excellent high-frequency performance up to 40 GHz and has low voltage standing wave ratios (VSWR) of 1.3 Max. (0-5 GHz), 1.4 Max. (5-10 GHz), 1.5 Max. (10-20 GHz), and 1.8 Max. (20-40 GHz).

Schneider Electric announced a major upgrade to Schneider Charge Pro, its Level 2 commercial EV charger. Schneider Charge Pro is designed for property owners, fleet operators, and site hosts across a wide range of commercial use cases, including multi-unit dwellings (MUDs), workplaces, public and destination charging locations, and fleet operations. The commercial EV charger combines hardware with EV Connect Software+, a cloud-based charging station management system. Expanded connector options support J1772 and the North American Charging Standard (NACS), with flexible configurations up to 80 A to support a wide range of vehicles in use today.

SMK’s active floating socket connects flat tab terminals directly to PCBs via SMT. It enables easier and automated assembly, reduces component count, and improves repairability. Its floating structure accommodates misalignment during assembly, allowing automated installation. The connector contacts the terminal on both sides for a reliable connection and supports high current up to 100A. It is ideal for automated production, automotive applications, data center server rack power connections, e-bike drive units and motors, battery management systems, and industrial motors and inverters. The AFS lineup covers a wide range of specifications and continues to expand.

Amphenol Network Solutions’ PIVOT makes it possible to add ports without sacrificing the ability to easily inspect, clean, or service individual connections. This patent-pending pivoting architecture provides direct access to recessed center-row connections while delivering up to 192 LC connections in a single rack unit. High-flex RG-58 cable supports millions of flexures and features a fine-wire stranded copper center conductor with a tinned copper braid shield for improved flexibility and durability. These 50 ohm cable assemblies offer reliable electrical performance up to 3 GHz and are engineered to maintain consistent signal integrity while exposed to repeated flexing and vibration.
