This week’s Product Roundup highlights D-shaped connectors from leading connector manufacturers and suppliers.

Omnetics Micro-D subminiature connectors are designed and manufactured to meet and exceed MIL-DTL-83513. The QPL-qualified connector is built to ensure the highest performance in high shock and vibration applications as well as extreme environments. The proven beryllium copper spring pin-to-socket contact system is plated with both nickel and gold to ensure the highest quality for mating and de-mating, along with very low contact resistance. Pin and sockets are set at .050” center to center lines. Our standard and COTS models are available in pin counts from 9 through 51 and are available in solder cup and wired, as well as board mount configurations. The collection of Micro-D connectors also includes special high temperature versions, deep space versions with NASA-qualified low outgassing, as well as mixed signal designs fabricated to directly match your application.

SV’s newest addition to its Mini-D RF product line is three multiport harnessed cable assemblies. These versatile cable assemblies are available in both straight and right-angle configurations, as well as a panel mount option. Their .110″ port-to-port spacing and rugged, lightweight aluminum housing makes these cable assemblies ideal for high-density applications with limited space. The SMPS interface is recessed from the D-Sub housing to protect it from damage. The D-sub keying design avoids mismating.

Adam Tech offers an expansive line of D-Sub connectors. The series is composed of plugs and sockets, offered with 9, 15, 25, 26, or 37 positions and equipped with a variety of shell size, mounting, termination, and flange feature options. D-Subs for both coax and power are available. Specialty D-Subs such as stacked and high density are also available. A broad range of mounting styles and contact types such as right angle, vertical, slimline, and other body types are included in this D-Sub series. Contacts are precision stamped or machined for high reliability applications.

These proven D-Subminiature connectors are among the most popular input/output interconnects, addressing a wide variety of applications in the telecommunications, data, consumer, industrial, military, instrumentation, and medical markets. The high-power D-Sub connectors have a 75A current rating and are available in cable (solder/crimp) and board versions. The connectors conform to UL1977 spec (T-Rise at rated current below RTI value of housing material).

Compact and durable, Greenconn’s D-Sub connectors feature the classic D-shaped interface that ensures precise alignment and secure mating, reducing the risk of misconnection in dense layouts. Built with robust metal shells and multiple pin configurations, they offer strong EMI shielding, mechanical stability, and reliable signal transmission, making them well-suited for demanding wire-to-board applications in industrial and communication equipment. Screw-locking ensures secure connections under vibration. These connectors are available in multiple positions with up to 5A per contact, operating temperatures from -55 °C to +105 °C, and dielectric strength up to 1000V AC, ensuring reliable performance.

D Series connectors from Smiths Interconnect, a Molex company, deliver industry-leading performance featuring simple push-button latching and a D-shaped flange which makes mating orientation obvious. Three D Series sizes accommodate a wide variety of applications. The intuitive and durable D Series is recognized for its ease of use and high reliability. Features include 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 12, 25, and82 contact positions; up to 8 amps per contact; crimp and solder cup contacts; and recessed contact terminations. Autoclavable versions are available.

The Amphenol Positronic Mach-D D-sub connector series from CDM Inc. is built for harsh environments including space, defense, and healthcare applications. Available in standard-, high-, and mixed-density formats, Mach-D connectors have a ruggedized, machined aluminum or stainless-steel shell, and IP67 ingress performance for optimum durability.

Amphenol LTW (ALTW) delivers reliable D-shaped connector solutions, including DVI and D-Sub interfaces, designed for stable signal and data transmission in industrial and electronic applications. Featuring rugged metal housings, high signal integrity contacts, IP67/IP68 rating, secure mating design, and UV-resistant materials, ALTW connectors ensure durability, reliable performance, and long-term operation in harsh environments while supporting flexible integration across industrial and communication systems.

Axon’ developed D-Click fast-locking connectors, equipped with an easy-to-use mating/demating system for a quick and secure connection. No hardware or tools are required. Thanks to this system, customers can use Micro-D technology in limited spaces where access to connectors is difficult. In addition to the D-Click metal range, Axon’ has also developed D-ClickLite fast-locking composite connectors, a cost-effective solution based on Twist Pin Technology. The D-Click space version is qualified to ESCC 3401/091 by the European Space Agency.
