Bulgin’s new Standard Vitalis Buccaneer range of sustainable, waterproof connectors is a bio-based alternative to its flagship series, the Standard Buccaneer, offering the same technical performance with improved sustainability. The Standard Vitalis Buccaneer is built on decades of proven reliability, retaining all the trusted parameters of the Standard Buccaneer, but with up to 86% bio-based content (calculations by weight). Two new plastics were carefully selected to replace existing materials, blending mechanical function with more sustainable elements to improve the Standard Buccaneer’s eco-credentials while ensuring uncompromised performance. In addition, the packaging is comprised of polyethylene and a bio-additive, making it fully biodegradable. These rugged connectors deliver power ratings up to 12A and 277V AC/DC in configurations from two to 25 contacts. Seven versatile body styles are available: flex cable, inline cable, front panel mount, rear panel mount, PCB mount, bulkhead, and flange mount. With IP68 and IP69K environmental sealing, they are ideal for demanding applications across industrial, automotive, and marine markets.
Samtec Inc. released its 800-position APM6 and APF6 high-performance array connectors, available in a low-profile 5 mm stack height. Engineered for next generation demands, the new AcceleRate HP connectors deliver exceptional signal integrity and density, supporting data rates up to 112 Gb/s PAM4 on a 0.635 mm pitch. These connectors are optimized for high-throughput applications such as high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, storage, and networking. Key features include protocol compatibility with PCIe 6.0, CXL 3.2 and 100 GbE; 800-position configuration (8 rows × 100 positions) in a dense footprint of 68.62 mm × 18.20 mm (2.701” × 0.717”); 5 mm mated stack height, with a 10 mm version planned for Q2 2026; 5 Ohm impedance; 2 A max current rating (one pin powered per row) and 150 VAC (212 VDC) max voltage rating; and open pin field array design for maximum grounding and routing flexibility. The APM6 and APF6 connectors utilize Samtec’s Solder Column Termination, enhancing structural integrity. This IPC Class 3 compliant method is ideal for dense, high-speed interconnects and offers superior solder joint reliability and excellent insertion loss and return loss performance.
Connectronics Inc. launched the SMP bullet, a subminiature push-on adapter system designed to ensure reliable RF performance, especially in board-to-board or other gang-mating applications. The SMP Bullet provides high-density solutions, supporting board-to-board and cable-to-board connections. Available for fixed and spring-loaded applications, it accommodates tolerance and misalignment issues during mating, prevents signal degradation, and ensures consistent RF performance. The new adapter delivers a range of features where precision and reliability are critical. Its high-density, small-form-factor design supports dense interconnects in limited space, while providing versatile board-to-board and cable-to-board connectivity. Each bullet is designed to minimize gaps and compensate for axial and radial misalignment, ensuring consistently repeatable voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) under compression and reliable connections engineered to compensate for some movement. Like all Connectronics SMP adapters, the SMP bullet supports frequencies up to 40 GHz and even higher in some extended designs, making it ideal for demanding RF applications, such as aerospace, telecommunications, and Test & Measurement equipment.
Amphenol RF added 2.92 mm to SMA precision adapters to its portfolio of coaxial adapters suited for testing purposes. These adapters are available in a variety of configurations including plug to plug, plug to jack, jack to plug, and jack to jack. 2.92 mm to SMA adapters offer high-frequency performance up to 26.5 GHz which supports broadband applications such as network and spectrum analysis, and RF production tests. These adapters are suited for laboratory test benches, RF/microwave production tests, communications and radar system evaluations and high-frequency module characterization.
The new ODU-MAC Power Connector M216/M316 from ODU adds a manually pluggable solution for high-current and high-voltage applications to its portfolio. In addition to the established D216/D316 docking and installation variants, users now also have a housing variant made of robust aluminum. This connector combines high-current and high-voltage transmission up to 600 A in one connector, with two bridged contacts using a busbar, with high user safety thanks to IP2X touch protection. The proven ODU LAMTAC flex contact system enables low plugging and demating forces and is designed for more than 10,000 mating cycles. Typical fields of application are electromobility, end-of-line testing, and high voltage tests.
