During the recent Scaling for Growth Summit with TTI Inc., TTI Europe, and Mouser Electronics, Harwin presented TTI’s Geoff Breed, VP of marketing in Europe, with the company’s latest Chairman’s Award. The accolade, which is only awarded on an occasional basis, recognizes the outstanding personal contributions of individuals within the distribution channel to the company’s business. Breed received the award for his dedication to strategic alignment and growth. His commitment to delivering a consistent strategy with ambitious growth targets has driven year-on-year sales and led to significant successes for Harwin and TTI. With a long history of successful sales of interconnect and electromechanical components, TTI provides global customers with the full portfolio of Harwin’s high-reliability and board-to-board connectors and the company’s EZi family of parts for board-level shielding. As well as sales, local technical development teams are available to ensure that customers receive best-in-class design-in support. Breed has over 25 years of experience in the electronic components distribution sector with expertise in sales, procurement, business development, and marketing. In addition, Gia Hayes, VP of Mil/Aero at TTI Inc., recently collected Harwin’s 5-Star award for initiatives to build a close collaboration between Harwin and TTI’s strategic accounts team in the U.S.
Sager Electronics has been honored with ebm-papst’s Milestone Award for Sales for 2023. The award was presented at the 2024 EDS Leadership Summit held in May in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Newark’s collaboration with Würth Elektronik (WE) highlights the many benefits of high-quality RF components, which play a key role in ensuring reliable wireless connectivity for a huge range of consumer and industrial applications. The WE product portfolio includes all necessary components for IoT devices such as RF inductors and capacitors; chip and rod antennas; chip filters and baluns; and coaxial connectors and radio modules required for the assembly of any kind of wireless interface. Chip antennas provide very good performance in a compact design with little design modification. Rod antennas offer performance with value for those who are not as constrained by space limitations. For the very experienced design engineer, PCB antennas are available for highly miniaturized applications. Customers can also purchase antenna matching design kits for their antenna selection and matching needs.
Avnet announced Rebeca Obregon as the new president of Newark, an Avnet company, effective July 1, 2024. “Since joining Avnet’s leadership team last year, Rebeca has shown her deep commitment to delivering results for our suppliers, customers, partners, and employees,” said Phil Gallagher, CEO, Avnet. Obregon previously held the position of senior vice president of strategic business engagements and supplier management, where she led Avnet’s United, Velocity, and Integrated business units; IP&E (interconnect, passive and electromechanical) supplier management; and strategy, mergers and acquisitions. Obregon has more than 30 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry where she has built and grown teams and businesses from inception to profitable worldwide market leaders. Before joining Avnet in 2023, she was a corporate vice president at Amkor Technology. She holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Arizona State University, and an M.S. in electrical engineering from the National Technological University.

Amphenol CIT, formerly Carlisle Interconnect Technologies, recently earned Nadcap (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) accreditation in the category of Electronics – Cable and Harness Assemblies at its Nogales, Mexico, facility. Administered by the Performance Review Institute (PRI), Nadcap ensures conformity and quality assurance for products and services delivered to the aerospace and defense sector. Unlike traditional third-party programs, Nadcap approval is granted based on industry consensus. In addition to its Nadcap accreditation for Electronics—Cable and Harness Assemblies, Amphenol CIT’s Nogales facility also has Nadcap accreditation for chemical processing.
