binder’s Harsh Environment Connector (HEC) is engineered for reliable performance in demanding outdoor applications. Robust materials, advanced sealing technology, and durable construction ensure HEC’s dependable connectivity even under extreme conditions, making it well-suited for use in agricultural equipment, industrial machinery, and renewable energy systems. With an IP68/IP69K rating, the HEC delivers robust protection against dust ingress, contamination, and high-pressure or steam-jet cleaning. UV-stable and corrosion-resistant materials contribute to extended durability in applications exposed to strong solar radiation or high moisture levels. This design ensures consistent signal integrity and power delivery in challenging environmental conditions.
Hirose’s 1.0 mm coaxial connector complies with IEEE Standard 287 and supports frequencies up to 110 GHz. Featuring a compression-mount center contact, the 1.0 mm Series coaxial connector supports varying PCB thicknesses, from under 1 mm to several mm, for greater design flexibility. No need for soldering, as the 1.0 mm Series also features a screw (threaded) mount to reduce mounting complexity. The coaxial connector delivers excellent high-frequency performance and has low voltage standing wave ratios (VSWR) of 1.8 max. (0 to 67 GHz) and 1.9 max. (67 to 110 GHz). The 1.0 mm Series is commonly used in Test & Measurement systems, as well as high-frequency sensing and communication applications.
Amphenol RF’s line of PFAS-free SMA connectors and adapters are engineered from PEEK (polyether ether ketone) as a PFAS-free alternative to PTFE, offering an environmentally responsible solution without compromising performance. This innovative product line provides drop-in replacements for a limited number of standard SMA designs, maintaining the same reliable electrical and mechanical performance while eliminating the use of PFAS, a substance often referred to as a forever chemical. PEEK delivers comparable dielectric properties to PTFE with excellent mechanical strength and stability in demanding, high-temperature environments. PFAS-free SMA connectors and adapters are available in a selection of popular configurations, including cable and PCB mount options. Cable connectors are designed for compatibility with PFAS-free cable types such as Leoni Dacar 037 and 462. These interconnects are ideal for a wide range of applications in base stations, antennas, telecommunication systems, instrumentation, and PC/LAN systems.

Weidmuller USA has released the Online Weidmuller Configurator (WMC), an innovative web-based tool that makes designing DIN rail configurations fast, easy, and accessible. From planning through to production, the Online WMC ensures a seamless and continuous digital data chain. DIN rail configurations can be created directly in any browser, stored in the cloud, and shared via links. A central function of the Online WMC is the free integrated Assembly Assist Mode that guides production personnel with step-by-step illustrations of placement of components, enabling simple and accurate assembly. No electrical background is required to use the Online WMC, reducing the industry’s traditional dependency on highly qualified personnel at a time when there is a shortage of skilled workers. Additionally, the Online WMC allows users to order fully assembled terminal strips direct or via authorized Weidmuller distributors. Through the Fast Delivery Service (FDS), configured terminal strips can be requested online and individual quotations are generated rapidly, resulting in accelerated assembly planning for maximum speed to enable fast, flexible, and efficient execution of production processes.
Mouser Electronics now ships the PSOC Edge machine learning microcontrollers (MCUs) from Infineon Technologies. The PSOC Edge is Infineon’s enhanced and advanced high-performance machine learning (ML) MCU for next-generation devices in smart home, robotics, industrial, and human-machine interface (HMI) applications. These MCUs are designed for responsive, user-centric machine learning-based edge devices, with hardware-accelerated neural net compute support for continuous low-power, high-performance operation in a fully integrated microcontroller. They integrate Arm Cortex-M55 processors and M33 coprocessors. These devices are enhanced with Infineon’s NNLite accelerator, right-sized peripherals, state-of-the-art security, and support for Helium DSP and Arm Ethos-U55 integration, making them “always-on” IoT and industrial applications. The PSOC Edge series is supported by a rich set of enablement features, including ModusToolbox software, DEEPCRAFT Studio AI with off-the-shelf DEEPCRAFT-ready models and graphics, as well as support for voice, audio, and vision, enabling easy migration and upgrades from current designs.
Taoglas introduced new enhancements to its Antenna Integrator tool – part of the company’s AntennaXpert suite – adding greater design flexibility and collaboration features for engineers developing next-generation connected and IoT devices. The updates come as the artificial intelligence in the models learns, adapts, and improves from ongoing real-life use cases. The latest update adds nine new PCB shape templates, including circle, arc, triangle, pentagon, hexagon, L-shape, U-shape, stepped, and custom user-defined geometries that allow engineers to model antenna placement on realistic board layouts. Users can also add rectangular and cylindrical metallic blocks to represent large components such as batteries or displays that affect antenna performance. Additional features include new export options (3D STEP, PDF, DXF, and JPG) to simplify collaboration between electrical and mechanical design teams, and three new antennas, expanding the tool’s library and design capabilities.
