Indium Corporation received a Sustainability Award from ASE Technology Holding Co. Ltd (ASE) at its recent 2025 Best Suppliers Award Ceremony in Taichung, Taiwan. Using Indium Corporation’s WS-575-C ball-attach flux, ASE successfully lowered the cleaning water temperature in the standard BGA ball-attach process from the typical 50–60 °C to room temperature, approximately 35 °C. The change not only enhanced energy efficiency by reducing electricity consumption and carbon emissions but also maintained the same high standards of cleaning quality. This approach delivered an estimated 157,680 kWh/year lower electricity use and a 1,643.4 t CO₂ reduction in annual carbon emissions, plus an economic benefit of approximately $440,000/year.

The HARTING Technology Group has celebrated its 10th anniversary in Silao, Mexico. The facility has grown into a site with 700 colleagues covering the entire production lifecycle, from engineering and production to customer service. The team celebrated the anniversary with suppliers, partners, and political representatives. In 2016, HARTING moved into the approximately 1,200-square-meter site. Leading car manufacturers and suppliers also opened their plants in Mexico, thereby accelerating the company’s growth. The Silao site exemplifies HARTING’s “in the region – for the region” approach. With on-site engineering, production, and service, the company consistently aligns itself with the requirements of regional markets. Proximity to customers enables fast communication, close coordination, and rapid turnaround times – from prototype to production. At the same time, HARTING is using the site to strengthen industrial value creation in the Guanajuato region and create long-term prospects for employees, partners, and customers.
The HARTING Technology Group has commissioned a new fuel cell plant in Espelkamp. The pilot plant from the Bavarian manufacturer Reverion complements the existing biogas and photovoltaic plants. Initially, the plant will convert locally produced biogas directly into electricity, making the energy supply at the Espelkamp site even more efficient and climate neutral. In future, the fuel cell plant is also set to temporarily store the renewable energy generated in the form of green hydrogen and convert it back into usable energy when needed. The advantage of Reverion technology lies in its exceptionally high efficiency across the entire energy cycle. While many conventional solutions with separate electrolyzers, gas storage, and reverse power output recover only 40-50% of the energy used, Reverion achieves a significantly higher electrical efficiency when reconverting hydrogen back into electricity. Energy that is not converted into electricity can be used as process heat in the biogas plant to maintain fermentation. This is made possible by reversible high-temperature technology, the elimination of combustion, and the integration of all conversion steps into a single plant, significantly reducing energy losses.

Neutrik Group Americas partnered with Cloud Microphones on the newly released compact Cloudlifter Mini CL25. Designed to deliver the same clean, transparent performance as the original Cloudlifter CL1, the new Mini CL25 incorporates a custom NEUTRIK goldplated XLR connector system, enabling a direct, ultrareliable interface with dynamic, ribbon, and tube microphones. The result is up to +25 dB of pristine, noisefree gain, powered by standard phantom power while ensuring that phantom power is never passed through to the microphone. The Mini CL25’s hardsoldered, wirefree internal architecture ensures maximum signal integrity and longterm durability. By providing clean gain at the source, users can operate their preamps at lower gain settings, preserving detail, minimizing coloration, and increasing headroom across a wide range of applications. With its compact form factor and lowvisibility black finish, the Mini CL25 is ideal for engineers and creators seeking highquality gain in a discreet, plugandplay format, from studio recording and podcasting, to location sound, broadcast, and live performance applications.
Sager Electronics added APEM to its line card. This expands Sager’s electromechanical offering with APEM’s comprehensive range of high-quality switches, LED indicators, joysticks, and human-machine interface (HMI) solutions. This addition reinforces Sager’s commitment to providing customers with best-in-class electromechanical solutions, said Adrian Orat, Supplier Marketing and Product Manager at Sager Electronics.
Mouser Electronics announced a global distribution agreement with Efficient Power Conversion (EPC), a global leader in enhancement-mode gallium nitride (eGaN)-based power solutions, offering GaN devices spanning 15 V to 350 V. EPC’s eGaN FETs and integrated circuits deliver performance far beyond that of the best silicon (Si) power MOSFETs in applications including DC-DC converters, remote-sensor technologies such as lidar, motor control for e-mobility, robotics, drones, and more. The agreement is aimed at expanding access to GaN technology for engineers worldwide and accelerating the adoption of high-efficiency power solutions.

ECIA announced the theme for the 2026 Executive Conference: Delivering Clarity in Chaos. “The electronics ecosystem is becoming exponentially more complex, confusing, and chaotic,” said Conference Committee Chair Zach DeVillers. “During our conference, we are looking to provide clarity, apply strategy, and deliver confidence when dealing with today’s environment.” Stephanie Tierney, ECIA Director of Marketing Communications and Member Engagement added, “This year’s committee wrestled with how to capture the essence of what the industry is going through in a time of constant change.”
The MIPI Alliance launched the MIPI A-PHY Compliance Program. An industry first for an automotive SerDes standard, the MIPI compliance program allows member companies to validate that MIPI A-PHY devices have been tested and deemed compliant with the relevant specifications and will support the automotive industry’s requirements for multi-vendor integration, functional safety, EMI robustness, and reduced development time and cost for A-PHY-based systems. MIPI also announced BitifEye Digital Test Solutions GmbH as an authorized test lab (ATL) for the program. BitifEye has been instrumental in the coordination of A-PHY test events around the globe and as an ATL will continue to coordinate test events and manage the compliance program on behalf of MIPI.
