Molex compact USB Type-C connectors from Heilind Electronics offer greater PCB savings while enabling high-frequency mating in consumer, data, and other I/O applications. Support for 5.0 Amps of power in plug and receptacles reduces battery-charging time by 64% versus micro-USB 2.0’s current rating of 1.8 A. With reversible plugging capabilities, the new Molex USB Type-C connectors offer the smallest pitch (0.5 mm), big current-carrying capacity (5.0 A), and maximum data throughput of 10 Gb/s.
JAE’s DX07 USB4 Series was one of the first USB Type-C receptacle connectors certified for use in USB4 40 Gb/s devices. This product satisfies the strict USB4 specifications for signal integrity with an optimized internal structure carefully designed using advanced simulation software. JAE, an active contributor in the USB-IF working group tasked with creating new USB specifications, offers a large lineup of USB Type-C connectors and cables that support various requirements, such as USB Power Delivery, USB 2.0 only, and Thunderbolt 3. USB4 Version 2.0 is the newest revision to the USB specification supporting transmission speeds of up to 80 Gb/s — four times that of the USB 3.2 revision.

TE Connectivity’s USB 3.0 connector, supplied by TTI, meets all USB-IF standards. It supports 5 Gb/s data rate for fast sync-n-go and a 10-fold performance increase over USB 2.0, which makes downloading HD movies a snap. The USB 3.0 connector is backward compatible with USB 2.0 while offering optimized power efficiency by eliminating device polling and reducing active and idle power requirements. It allows for the unit load of 150 mA (a 50% increase over the minimum unit load of USB 2.0) up to six unit loads (900 mA, an 80% increase over USB 2.0 at a registered maximum of 500 mA). This means that USB 3.0 has up to 80% more power based on the configuration of the device.
PRECI-DIP’s high reliability spring-loaded contact with clip technology is ideal for peripheral devices which need to be recharged on a docking station, such as mice, touch stylus, game controllers, or earphones. The metals at both ends, enable a rated current of 5.0 A per metal tab.
Lumberg’s USB 3.1 chassis socket Type-C is suited for consumer electronics as well as IT, communications, and measurement and control technology. KEL’s USLS Series from Kensington is a low-profile, stack-mating-type micro coaxial cable connector for computer peripherals. The board side connector is surrounded by a metal shell to improve noise reduction. Overall, the connector has a 1.65 mm stacking height. Bulk pressure welding improves connection reliability and makes it more compact. It is applicable for high-density printed circuit boards. The cable harness can be passed through a 4 mm diameter tube. The common problem of positioning for stack mating type connectors has been resolved with advanced technology. Stack mating provides superior workability. USLS is a lead-free product.
USB 4 connectors compatible with Thunderbolt 4 interface from Amphenol Communications Solutions combine power charging, tunneling USB, PCIe data transfer, and DP video and audio capability in a single Type-C connector. With a power rating up to 100W, these connectors have a high-speed data transmission rate of up to 40 Gb/s.
