Heilind Electronics added the E-Switch LB22 Series Pushbutton Switch to its extensive product portfolio. The LB22 Series Pushbutton Switch is designed to deliver high performance and reliability, with an electrical rating of 3A at 250VAC and an electrical life of 50,000 cycles. The series features contact resistance of 50 mΩ max. at 1A 12 VDC (initial) and an insulation resistance of 1,000 MΩ min. at 500 VDC, ensuring efficient and safe operation. The dielectric strength of 2,000 VAC and an operating/storage temperature range of -20 °C to 55 °C further enhance its robustness. The LB22 Series design offers versatility with single-pole, double-throw (SPDT), or double-pole, double-throw (DPDT) functions. Multiple colors, cap colors, and style choices, including illuminated or non-illuminated options, are available. Customers can select from latching or momentary options, with contacts available in silver or gold plating. The IP65-rated switch series provides moisture protection for harsh environments. Ideal applications for the LB22 Series include audio/visual equipment, consumer electronics, vending machines, kiosks, instrumentation, and medical equipment.
Hirose’s low-profile DF51K wire-to-board connector series now includes a surface mount technology (SMT) version. Compatible with automated assembly processes, including pick-and-place machines, the DF51K SMT Series simplifies the assembly process and saves significant manufacturing time and cost. The compact SMT connector features a center lock design to offer high-density mounting on the PCB. The center lock design also prevents damage during cable assembly and ensures secure mating. The user-friendly positive lock provides a clear tactile click and secures a reliable connection. It also enables users to recognize reverse mating and prevents mechanical interference. Supporting up to 3A, the 2.0 mm pitch DF51K Series is designed for a broad range of products, including industrial machinery, medical equipment, office equipment, robotics, smart meters, and more. A part of the SignalBee connector family, the DF51K Series is available in a wide range of options, including straight/right-angle, SMT/THT, single/double row, and gold/tin plating versions, and has a rated voltage of 650V AC/DC and an operating temperature of -55 °C to +105 °C.
Weidmüller USA’s new OMNIMATE 4.0 PCB terminal blocks in the MTS 5 product series mark an exciting expansion of the company’s PCB product portfolio. Featuring Weidmüller’s innovative SNAP IN technology, the OMNIMATE 4.0 terminal blocks provide the most efficient wiring and signal transmission in many industrial sectors. With this new technology, a wide variety of conductors can be connected quickly without the need for tools and wire-end ferrules, Features include pitch 5.00 mm, vertical and horizontal orientations in 2 through 12 positions; an optical and acoustic safety indicator that shows when wiring is complete; easy handling of the push-in buttons when rewiring is necessary; all parts received wire-ready with open clamping point; ready-to-robot optimization for fully automated wiring processes; and options for screw, push-in, and SNAP IN connectivity that offer customers a wider range of choices for the connection technology that works best for them.

The Conextivity Group’s startup Wearin’ has developed a solution to connect the lone worker with the control center, commissioned by concrete producer PRO BETON to ensure the safety of its teams of machine operators and cleaners working on production sites. Based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology and powered by AI, the solution comprises a physical platform and a digital platform, communicating with each other in real time. A device, called the Wearin’ Brain, is attached to the worker’s vest, and embeds three safety alert and detection systems: one to alert the control center via the Wearin’ SOS button that can be activated manually in the event of an accident; an inertial sensor that can automatically detect a fall (in case the alert cannot be raised manually); and GPS to pinpoint the precise location of the worker. Data and alerts are sent and collected via the cloud to the Wearin’ dashboard integrated into the central monitoring system, allowing the control center to take appropriate emergency and rescue measures according to the alerts they have received. The Wearin’ Brain attached to the worker’s vest is the brain of the hardware and software systems in Wearin’s IoT solution. Alvaro Goncalves, technical director at Wearin’, explains, “The Brain contains the SOS button, the fall detection sensor, the GPS system, a 10-hour battery enabling it to last an entire shift of PRO BETON employees without additional charging, as well as the LTE module for secure data transmission to the alarm center.” The fall detection sensor designed by Wearin’ offers unrivalled reliability on the market, minimizing the risk of false positives experienced with other, less advanced competing products. According to the latest market studies, Europe employs 10 million lone workers.

Wolfspeed’s WolfPACK family of power modules from Arrow Electronics enables greater flexibility and scalability for designers by housing several silicon carbide MOSFETs inside a container with press-fit, solder-less pins to interface with an external PCB. The modules feature application-specific pinouts optimized based on the internal arrangement of the MOSFETs, such as half-bridge, full-bridge, six-pack, and buck/boost layouts. High power density in a small baseplate-less footprint, coupled with SiC technology, enables compact layout, faster, cleaner switching, and affords designers as much as a 25% reduction in size. All configurations are available with the option of pre-applied thermal interface material.
Newark now offers Panasonic Industry’s graphite thermal interface material. This compressible type of graphite sheet is used as thermal interface material, which has very high compressibility compared to standard pyrolytic graphite sheets (PGS). Its outstanding heat resistance and reliability contribute to longer service life and higher performance of various components. It is particularly suited to inverters and converters, car-mounted cameras, motor control units, and automotive LEDs.
