AirBorn SInergy modular high-speed connectors from Molex now offer heavy-duty, high-power contacts that support up to 25.0 A power delivery within a standard module bay. This represents a 12.5x increase in power capacity for handling increased electrical loads without sacrificing the compact footprint critical for space-constrained aerospace, defense, and space systems. This latest extension of the AirBorn SInergy platform enables customers to mix-and-match high-power, high-speed data, and RF contacts for an all-in-one connectivity solution built for harsh-environment applications where reliability is non-negotiable.

ITT Cannon’s Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) connector is a high-reliability, customized D-Sub solution designed for integration with military and commercial IMU control, guidance, and navigation systems. While meeting the stringent MIL-DTL-24308 specifications, Cannon’s IMU connector is environmentally sealed with superior EMI protection and easily mounts to existing IMU systems including Honeywell Aerospace HG1700, HG1900, and HG5700 models. It is also ideal for new IMU platforms. The kitted system, part number DSPCL50912-5320, includes the IMU connector body, 32 high reliability machined crimp contacts, 20 sealing plugs, and 2 installed 5/16 Allen head jackscrews that are field replaceable.

Nano Luminus/Pegasus from Amphenol PCD are small, composite, easy-to-use connectors designed specifically for sensing, command, and control applications where a Micro or Nano D-Sub would be used. Ideal for use in tight spaces, packing 11 high grade contacts in a shell size 5 housing.

The Optimus series from Nicomatic is an EN4165-type sealed modular connector. It is the most practical sealed connector available, making it suitable for blind-mate and rack applications and ideal for Line Replacement Modules (LRM). Optimus provides significant cost-saving benefits on future equipment upgrades by allowing engineers to upgrade modules without changing the entire connector. The compact rectangular shape offers a slim fit compared to circular I/O connectors, allowing up to 320 contacts in a space where a circular connector would only fit 110.

KA Series MIL-DTL-55302-compliant connectors from Smiths Interconnect, a Molex company, deliver high-reliability signal transmission for the most demanding aerospace applications. Featuring Hypertac Hyperboloid technology, they offer 17-490 contacts, up to 100,000 mating cycles, low insertion force, excellent shock/vibration resistance, multiple termination options, and flexible 2-5 row configurations.

Ept’s high speed 0.5 mm pitch SMT Colibri series is easily configurable while also having a reduced size and weight for flight. Already time-proven in aviation and aerospace, Colibri connectors are in satellite applications currently in Earth’s orbit. This shielded dual-row connector series is available in 10+, 16+, and 25+ Gb/s speed variations, also making them ideal for the rapid data transmission rates required in security-related uses, including data servers, metrology, and high-quality graphics and imaging processors. Colibri connectors empower camera systems to detect and respond to incoming threats or environmental changes at astonishing speeds. They adhere to the standards set by PICMG COM Express and SFF-SIG CoreExpress. The Colibri 16+ and 25+ Gb/s variants can facilitate interference-free data transfer for USB 3.1 Gen2 and PCI Express 4.0 signals. Colibri connectors are also available in heavy gold variants, which are excellent for high-demand satellite, military, or aviation applications. All Colibri connectors are available in tape-and-reel packaging to allow for the ease of fully automatic pick-and-place processing.
