Amphenol’s card|mate-wiping connector offers extremely small dimensions of 57.0mm x 30.0mm x 5.0mm and a long lifetime of 500,000 mating cycles, which provides crucial product benefits in payment terminal applications.

The contacts of the card|mate-wiping are all on the rear side of the product to avoid manipulation via the card slot. The format also makes it possible to re-solder the contacts manually if necessary.

Dust protection for the “card present” switch and a debris slot at the rear of the connector help minimize the possibility of malfunction caused by contamination.

SMT solderability as well as compliance to the valid Smart Card standards are basic features of the connector.
