Alternatives to Traditional Liquidtight Conduits
Alternatives to Traditional Liquidtight Conduits
All electrical industrial-cable protection systems are not created equal.
For the past several decades, most industries within the US have been dominated by the use of PVC-jacketed metallic conduits (otherwise known as liquidtight) as a standard for cable protection applications. Liquidtight conduits are still widely used even though new emerging polyamide cable protection technologies from AerosUSA far out-perform PVC-jacketed metallic conduits in all aspects.
There are, however, products that have been developed and used in Europe for more than 40 years, which offer remarkable advantages over liquidtight. Results are achieved through the use of highly engineered and modified polyamide. The most compelling advantages of polyamide conduits and fittings are the drastically reduced assembly times, high-impact resistance, and flexibility.
